He also took time to take everyone’s pictures at each stop. She was very informative, knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and quick to offer great recommendations for the best spots during the tour and for exploring the city afterward.
The tour was fantastic, filled with stunning natural beauty, many impressive tall waterfalls. Even though not all the trees had turned autumn colors yet, the views were breathtaking. Every stops offers amazing angles and natural lighting, ideal for photo enthusiasts.
I would definitely recommend this tour with Wildwood Adventures. Kelly was my guide for Bike Around Portland. She was awesome and super knowledgable about all things Portland. A guided bike tour is definitely the way the way to do it.
Angela guided the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls tour, cool and also super knowledgeable about the Gorge, it's history, geology, everything. And of course Portland too. There were 11 or 13 people on the tour with us, and we were comfortably seated in a lovely van. Phoebe told us some of the history and information behind the landmarks as we drove to the different destinations. We had plenty of time to explore each one, and we all enjoyed our time. Our part consisted of parents in their 40's, two 23 year old, a 20 year old, and a 17 year old. Thus is a great excursion idea for a family. We went out at 8pm on a gorgeous evening to got to see great views of the river during golden hour. My only regret was not choosing a longer flight! JP was a fabulous pilot and guide, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hand were cold on bikes as well. But by 1pm it warmed up nicely. Easy to find - great tips before we set off. He introduces the waterfalls in detail, very helpful in taking picture, and took us behind one of the waterfall for fantastic pictures. He is also well prepared and gotten us to catch sunset right on time. We weren't sure what to expect, especially with a 7-year-old who is a little afraid to try new things, but John (our pilot) was incredible! He made everyone feel at ease and did a wonderful job showing us all the waterfalls (and even sea lions) on our journey.
