The ancient market had a face lift in 2016 and there are now excellent stalls offering all sorts of food at reasonable prices, perfect for lunch when shopping.
The river is nearby , as are the shopping centre and car parks.

... has great inside and outside architecture that if in the area then one must visit An imposing site that shines like a beacon across the city centre and long may it continue to be such a great shopping experience
Shopping throughout Kingston is excellent, and since most of the town centre is pedestrianised, safe.

It's compact and well laid out and the staff and little shop are excellent too.

I was very impressed with the way the books have been meticulously organised and categorised, making certain titles easier to find, which I think is usually a sign of a good second hand book shop.
The Fara bookshop along Broad Street in Teddington is a wonderful shop.

With music, beers, pancakes, and shopping we had a great time with my friends.
This is a great spot to bring friends to shop, eat, drink and just hang out and chill - there's such a great vibe here and the community of independent retailers and social enterprise is brilliant!

Personally, I love market shopping and lunchtimes are the best time to visit as the hustle and bustle creates a great atmosphere.
We visited both Spitalfied Market and Covent Gardens and were sorely disappointed - both were just modern shopping malls.

We were coming to England, from Belgium, for a shopping trip, and bringing a friend with us, so we were looking for somewhere different to visit, and this was it.
