What travellers are saying
- maureen t2 contributionsLovely theatre and the seating has plenty of leg room. The staff are helpful and polite and there’s two car parks close by with free parking after 6pm.
We saw Rhythm of the Dance on Saturday evening. What a terrific show great lighting effects, sound and performance.
As it was such a warm evening it would have been nice for refreshments to be on sale during the interval in the theatre and not just in the bar. Missing a good sales opportunity there.Written 3 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sand had be raked overnight and lots of people bagged a spot.Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kate W28 contributionsHave not seen the pier for a number of years so we were amazed when we saw how much the pier has changed. It has lots and lots of interesting rides and plenty of food places. Basically, they are catering to the family with all the amenities. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.Written 11 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- April H1 contributionBrilliant Farm, lots of activities for the kids to do. The animals are all so cute and well looked after and its wonderful for the kids to be able to interact with them. The Go Karts are a huge hit, aswell as the sledge hill. We spent the whole day here going to each activity having loads of fun. Highly recommend for a day out and great value for money 👌Written 11 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Curiosity2717436 contributionsThemed sections have been imaginatively laid out for quiet, restful enjoyment for all age groups. The council seem to nurture the flower beds with civic pride - and the results speak for themselves!Written 27 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A T3 contributionsJaywick beach is a rare treasure. It's got beautiful golden sands, rocks to clamber over, rare vegetation such as Sea Holly and Sea Campions, and very few people. The only problem is that the council treat the place like crap or rather a rubbish dump - they closed the toilets even before the pandemic without providing new ones and do not empty the bins very often, if ever, yet they empty Clacton's multiple times a day. Best to bring a picnic as there are not a lot of good eateries around, but if you forget, snacks can be purchased at a couple of nearby shops.Written 19 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rose G6 contributionsWhat a little gem!
We really enjoyed our visit to this little museum. It's well worth £1 to look inside (children free). Lots of factual information and things for the children to do.
The only disappointing aspect was the way Tendring Council has allowed the Jaywick area to become so run down - rubbish everywhere along the beach. The actual area around the tower was neat and tidy, though.Written 2 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of variety and good for children as well.

Hats off to Justin, Mike & Nigel for their passion and enthusiasm. Sadly closed to the public this year; 2020, due to Covid-19. Hoping 2021 allows this fascinating Heritage venue to re-open.Written 17 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
