What travellers are saying
- shawnwhite13Dormansland, UK87 contributionsCame here with the family on Easter Sunday for a day out, haven’t been here for a few years, first thing we noticed was how friendly and welcoming the lady was behind the desk, someone who clearly loves the job she does.
They have spent a lot of money in the last couple of years and it was money well spent.
The videos that you now see are very informative and entertaining.
There is a lot more to see and do although it would be nice if you could explore all the tunnels and buildings as seen on one of the videos.
When you pay you get a years pass to come back within 12 months.
We would definitely come back.
Would recommend this for a family day out.Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - denise lBexhill-on-Sea, UK503 contributionsWhat a quirky place this is. Huge garden centre selling everything not just plants and a pleasant cafe. Separate to this with an admission charge are different areas for children. These include an extensive walk through exhibit area called Planet Earth of marine life, dinosaurs and much more. Outside there's a heritage trail walk with models of local landmarks, T Rex Towers, play area with a treetop walkway. Be prepared to pay extra with tokens as the majority of activities in the Playzone were chargeable with tokens as was the miniature railway, crazy golf and boating pond. This can add a lot to the admission charge of £9.99 so be warned. It's a shame not more activities are included in the admission price. There were some odd random exhibits which you wondered what they were doing there? We liked the cacti planthouse. The thing that would improve the experience for youngsters is an activity sheet that they could tick off when exhibits found. Planet Earth was long and young'uns can't take all that information and need something to focus on. We used our Tesco Clubcard which helped with the cost. It's a pleasant few hours with children and I'm sure in the summer with a picnic would be more enjoyable.Written 23 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MDonne14 contributionsThe Newhaven-Dieppe ferry is still great way to go to France from the UK—a lazy trip, starting with croissant and a coffee, then a picnic with a beer from the bar, a wander around the deck, friendly staff, a snooze before the slog across France begins. I recommend it. The ferry port itself is another matter.
Another reviewer criticised the wait prior to boarding. In practice you don't have to arrive so early.Written 12 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KeLreviewsAyia Napa, Cyprus128 contributionsGreat tribute to Eazy-E, very moving and left very moved by Guy Stevens doing this for a great rapper!Written 20 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 60yoogGreater London, UK115 contributionsCompared to Dieppe ferry port, it's very tatty, very tired and very basic. It's adequate and it functions and the staff are pleasant but it is a bit shameful that this is what we are showing to the world.
It may well not be, but it seems like a 1970's council run place, with the minimum facilities and quality that you can get away with.....Written 3 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Da W1 contributionThis Park is situated DOWNWIND of the largest Waste Incinerator ( which lies about two miles to the South-West) in Sussex with , of course, the prevailing wind coming from the South-West.
Happy Breathing everyone especially the Old and Young and those with Breathing difficulties.Written 31 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - acestafLondon4 contributionsJohn was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, safety was paramount, kids loved it great experience would highly recommend.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TAuser10022019Wokingham, UK44 contributionswe had a private charter trip up the River Ouse. It was a lovely warm calm day and we thoroughly enjoyed the countryside and river bank views - so relaxing. Paul gave us key pieces of information about the area and the bird life then on the way back played some very apt music to relax our way back to the harbour. a very pleasant two hour trip and we wish Paul and Sarah all the best in their Maverick Adventures!Written 23 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- matt dEastbourne, UK4 contributionsA full service for all diving needs. PADI 5 star training centre and a full diary of local wreck and drift diving. Excellent equipment sales and service. Glenn is always available to provide advise or just a friendly cuppa. Definitely worth a visit.Written 3 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Newness625London17 contributionsPopped in last Friday to buy some fishing tackle as the nearby fishing shop has closedown sometime ago.
Didn’t realise it was a also a shooting range so rang up the following day to book a slot.
Arrived with my son who’s never shot before was made to feel really welcome and everything explained and briefed before we went to the range
Was a great way to spend an hour, hope to go back again soon. I had lasagna. On menu it says lasagna and salad it came out and didn't look very appetizing and there was no salad. I asked for the salad which I didn't have to wait long for. Lasagna was ok but certainly not the best I've had. Don't think the chef used sauce as it a bit dry, not a lot of filling and thick pasta. They need to make sure there food is presented nicely. I asked for chips but got wedges. Hopefully they will improve with experienceWritten 29 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Lizzie600Crawley, UK8 contributionsNewhaven Supernova surfboards offer hour taster sessions for stand up paddle boarding which I highly recommend. It was great fun paddling up and down 'the lagoon' just off the marina. Craig showed great patience and humour, managing to get me standing up on the board without falling in once! Helmets and wetsuit provided as apart of the cost of the session. Would most definitely do it again! http://www.supernovasurfboards.com/Written 24 September 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
