#1 of 9 Nature & Parks in Linville
The park right off the Blue Ridge Parkway is well maintained and the paths easy to all vantage points.
This is a great place for views and relaxing time enjoying nature.

There are easier ways to reach Macrae peak and the summit via the Profile trail or Daniel Boone Scout Trail outside the park gates, which we've done and recommend both highly for more experienced adventurous hikers.
With the Mile High bridge, nature sanctuary, museum and hiking trails, Grandfather Mountain provided a wonderful opportunity to see the best of the NC mountains.

There are very few designated parking spots, so most likely on a busy day you will have to park along aside the road.

It seems to me no matter which trail or mountain you go to in the Carolinas, the park rangers do an excellent job maintaining all trails!
Julian Price Park Blowing Rock 9.7 km away
#1 of 13 Nature & Parks in Blowing Rock
With its beautiful lake nestled in supreme mountain vistas, Julian Price Park is a favorite stop on the Blue ridge parkway.
The Boone Fork Trail (parking at Price Park picnic area) is a 5 mile loop that runs along the river (easy to moderate), then loops back up towards the campground (steeper).
