What travellers are saying
- Care N1 contributionThe experience was great and June was helpful. We purchased the green bucket and found tons and tons of gems! Definitely worth the upgrade. We also got one big geode, which we got to watch being cracked in front of us. Super cool experience! We definitely come back!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mike ETampa, FL633 contributionsGreat atmosphere, people, beer and food. I particularly liked the BBQ bacon burger and fries. Lots of beer choices, ample food and plenty of open space. Must visit.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jemilla TJacksonville, FL172 contributionsThis was a very interesting museum to learn more about veterans, especially those from the Brevard area. The museum is set up very nicely with a lot of great information. I am so glad that we decided to go inside and view all of the artifacts. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.Written 12 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Misti T3 contributionsSmall local community store with lots of local flavor! Baked goods and pot pies were absolutely wonderful! Has everything you could need for a yummy stock up for a long weekend. Also has organic meats, meals, & freshly made canned goods. Incredible selection of ice cream.Written 19 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PigwahlahLake Mary, FL181 contributionsBrevard rolls up the sidewalks at night. Nothing open really after about 5-6. We were aiming to have dinner at “Square Root”, but had a 1 hour wait. Decided to walk while we waited and found Brevard Brewing Company open. Bar attendant was knowledgeable and kind! Not pushy and answered all our questions. We tried a seasonal, dark lager, and the IPA. All were great and true to what they were brewed to taste like! Nothing flashy here which we appreciated. Some in our party played chess and the others battleship while we enjoyed our brew. If we lived closer, we would return. If you’re in town, this is certainly worth a visit.Written 31 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SquirrelGirl39Raleigh, NC200 contributionsWe came to the park and brought my mom as she was hoping to see the white squirrel. (She didn’t get to see them the last time we came to Brevard.) We were lucky, one was just hanging about and we watched it for quite some time. We ended up coming the next morning as well, because we had went to the bakery and were just a couple of minutes from the park. We got lucky again and saw the squirrel. If we plan another trip to the area we will definitely come back to the park.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WildHaireAdventuresTyler, TX1,548 contributionsStopped at this overlook while traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway and really thought it was beautiful. There was plenty of parking when we drove up. The views are beautiful and you can see for miles on a clear day.Written 19 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mixa's TravelsOldsmar, FL3,089 contributionsWe selected Slick Rock Falls from a brochure that included waterfalls in Transylvania County. Slick Rock Falls are very nice and you can "carefully" stand behind the Falls. There is a short trail to the Falls as on our visit it was barely visible from the road. I carefully got behind the Falls a bit for a pic and enjoyed the spray of the cool water.
Note:
Since we took FS475B to Log Hollow Falls we thought we would continue on it to Slick Rock Falls which is also off FS475B. We do NOT recommend that unless you are going on long hikes in the area. FS475B is a one lane narrow gravel road that twists and turns through Pisgah Forest. It is a TEDIOUS drive. If we were stopping other places along the road it would be different but not just to get to Slick Rock Falls. Easiest way to Slick Rock Falls is off US276 take FS475 about 1.5 miles then turn right onto FS475B over a mile to the Falls.Written 9 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You could truly see the passion the staff has for the property and the preservation of the home. If you’re a history buff like myself I highly recommend taking a visit.Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
