- Amber L4 contributionsWonderful, beautiful ground, lovely pools, so relaxing, such a wonderful experience, highly recommendedWritten 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MichaelWade1984London, UK45 contributionsFriendly staff greeted us on arrival, checked our vaccine passports and seated us promptly. The staff were so friendly and really made the experience a good one. The food was delicious and the wine was great. Some of our party also had beer and it was good to see local breweries supported. Our designated driver had a flat white and the option to get water was also handy. The pizzas were lovely and the platters were good for sharing. Definitely a great place to visit.Written 22 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EveWellington, New Zealand3 contributionsOur visit to Whitianga has been plagued by rain but Whiti Farm was a perfect way to spend a wet afternoon!
Loads of animals to stroke/feed, plenty of picnic spots and lots to keep little ones entertained. I’d recommend a visit here to anyone passing by.Written 8 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Lucinda J906 contributionsBeautiful and hot walk to the cliff top and lonely bay, beautiful vistas abs such a magic place. Definitely do this in your tripWritten 9 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TripleGee3Auckland Central, New Zealand23 contributionsWent in to enquire about what I had found on the internet and they were most helpful and pointed us in the right direction.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- santo tAuckland, New Zealand7,577 contributionsIt is a small museum in size, with attractive themes and exhibits. Several themes are displayed here, the history and voyage of Captain Cook to Mercury Bay, the story of gum digger. Then, the exhibits of the dairy life in the past, logging, as well as farming and wool shearing. Also the tragic story of HMS Buffalo which was wrecked here in 1840. For $5 ticket for adult, spend nearly 30 minutes to one hour here is worth when visiting this tourist town Whitianga. Easy to find, at the beach front.Written 9 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- linda lAuckland Central, New Zealand3 contributionsThis place is amazing with lots of lovely animals and amazing birds. We loved walking around talking to all the birds who are well looked after. You made my son's dream come true by being able to have one of the birds sit on his arm.
Would definitely recommend visiting this place and the pricing is very reasonable.Written 20 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - StrickesRotorua District, New Zealand1,587 contributionsWell worth the trip along the 309 Rd from Whitianga. A short drive to see hundreds of pigs of all sizes running around.
Most of them come reasonably close to see if you gave good for them.
Tho there are signs stating no feeding. I’m sure many people do give them a snack or two!Written 5 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Hans750The Hague, The Netherlands1,173 contributionsThose are the walks we really like and why we came to NZ for. Take your time and enjoy the environment. What you see by your self is not what you may show on pictures. Go for it.Written 18 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rohit GAuckland Central, New Zealand200 contributionsWe go to Whitianga often as we have a holiday home there. It has grown a lot and there are many attractions in the town and leaving from the town. There are some large grocery and general stores in town and the petrol is cheaper than it is in Auckland.
The playground is fun for kids, ours definitely enjoyed it when we took them last. This time we discovered a little gem for little girls.... a fairy house. Its on the beach, see if you can find it.Written 4 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tony PWellington, New Zealand66 contributionsThis is at the smaller end of bike parks I've been to, but its nice. Some lovely bush to ride through and the trails seemed in good condition. The trail to the summit is fairly steep though.
It had a really nice community feel with (free?) loan bike for kids.
The trail gradings seemed pretty honest. I found the intermediate trails easy enough, but struggled with the extreme ones.
I had a nice talk to one of the guys working in the park, sounds like they've got good plans for the future. All the best, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.Written 7 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JuliaL03Auckland, New Zealand12 contributionsBeautiful long white sand beach, great for swimming and paddle boarding or exploring the sea caves..Written 16 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- vagabondodelmondoSanta Barbara188 contributionsWe had a great experience here. It was fascinating to taste the many varieties of fruit wines and liqueurs, including lemon gin and persimmon wine. The proprietor is entertaining and full of interesting facts and stories about the area. Top it off with an amazing view of the most beautiful valley and bay imaginable!
According to the proprietor, the winery moved up to this hillside location (right off the main highway) recently. So the cleverly reused shipping containers repurposed as the winery's business are a bit ramshackle, but don't let this put you off. The wines and spirits are delicious.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anthony GWellington, New Zealand1,141 contributionsThis place really has that holiday feeing vibe which you probably remember when you were growing up yourself.
Plenty of good food and beverage options and everything you would need to a holiday in the sun.Written 10 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kim Howell16 contributionsWonderful way to get from Ferry's Landing to Whitianga. The driver was very nice and helpful. Quick and easy to use. The driver just takes a break between 7:30-8:30 for dinner so plan accordingly. Otherwise the ferry leaves each dock about every 10-15 minutes. Lovely view of Whitianga from on the Ferry.Written 16 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
