Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Worth a trip from Saratoga Springs when the roses are in bloom. They were almost all in bloom on July 4th.

    Loved the shady benches.

Wish there were a closer bathroom; had to drive across the park to the ball fields to find a port-a-potty; I assume there were public restrooms near the swimming pool or BBQ area.

Wedding parties surely must come here to take photos.

Nice historical museum highlighting the local history of the Schenectady area, its early settlers, and industries. There were alot of artifacts, a map room, a huge dollhouse, and some artwork. If you have a NARM card it's free, but if not, the $6 admission charge is well worth it. The lot behind the house is tiny, but it wasn't hard to find street parking. We saw this in just under an hour.

We were looking for something extra to do while we were in the area and found out this was a thing. We found it pretty extensive for a smaller aquarium. We didn't bring kids but it had plenty of kid-friendly activities. Well done!

We were catching a train in Schenectady but were early, so I had some time to explore the old town near the station. The library's core is solid 60's / 70's architecture, with a modern addition. Walking through the library you realized it offers a great service, lots of people were making use of the holdings, but it was still open and spacious. I spotted an interesting statue outside, and learned that it was of William Seward and Harriet Tubman. I didn't know that fellow who made the Alaska purchase possible (and for whom Seward Alaska is named), was a staunch Abolitionist and helped Harriet and the Underground Railway directly. Bravo Schenectady County Public Library!

We do an unplugged day during the summer each week, and on one week we landed on MiSci. I've been wanting to take my children here for a few years, and we finally made time to do so.

It is pricey to get in, and to go to the planetarium show as well. For 4 of us, it costs roughly $70.

This museum is so hands on, I was impressed. So many different exhibits that the boys could try. They are younger, 11 & 8, so some of them we had to help them with, but they got the hang of it.

The planetarium show was neat, very informative, and our boys got a lot of information from it.

We spent about 2.5 hours here, and we did everything that we could. We wish it was a little bigger honestly. I wouldn't bring younger children here, unless some of their moving exhibits cater to them.

New to doing reviews but I had to give one for these folks. Really enjoyed the musical 42nd Street. The singing was just great!

We have been season ticket holders for the last few years. It only costs about $20 per play and the talent is phenomenal. A few years ago, we saw "The Producers" at Proctor's and didn't care for it. We saw it at SLOC and loved it! We are so amazed by the musical talent in this area, and the talent of these unpaid actors is top quality! You won't be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Nice paths, cute creek, great grassy area to spread a picnic blanket or toss the frisbee around. My dog loves it here cause of all the squirrels and bunnies hopping around. The flowers and plants are nice too. It is a garden. I like the big tree at the base of the entrance stairs and the various memorial benches and signs. Not far from the Nott Memorial, the Chapel and the statue of President Chester, either.
