- M PBuffalo, NY1,486 contributionsRented out the 1863 club it was fantastic view and cool place to bet with own machine! Mutuel outside the door! Food was okay drinks were awesome. View from 3rd floor great. Week day rentalWritten 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marilyn PParsippany, NJ215 contributionsWe always enjoy our yearly visit to Saratoga. The weather was perfect when we visited on August 20th. There was no rain and we did have bug spray because the mosquitoes 🦟 and bees 🐝 can be annoying. There is a place to try the “waters” that made Saratoga a destination place for a hundred years. But, we careful & not drink too much or you will be spending too much time in the bathroom.
The Auto museum is wonderful but does have an admission fee. The Roosevelt Baths is wonderful. A massage here is relaxing and you will feel like you are a member of the “Gilded Age”.
Visit the Gideon Putnam Hotel for a glimpse into a beautiful old hotel. We relaxed in the lobby in the late afternoon. We saw the staff finishing up after a wedding ceremony and brunch in one of the banquet rooms. The desk staff were very helpful answering our questions.
We walked along the many parks. There is also a beautiful pool called the Victoria Pool that is free if you are staying at the Gideon Putnam. Otherwise, there is a charge.

There are several homeless folks that are harmless. - Marilyn PParsippany, NJ215 contributionsWe were lucky to pick a day when it wasn’t raining. But, this year has been a very rainy summer. The grounds can be quite wet. But, it was a fun summer day visit.Written 21 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stay2870682 contributionsVery interesting look at how Saratoga Springs came to be. From the history of the Native Americans to the healing waters draw to the summer home of the wealthiest in America. We strolled through the exhibits and learned a lot. Up and down some steep stairs so not for all but worth it. Final 30 minute tour of casino and ballroom by Nancy was delightful and insightful. Good value and a nice way to spend a few hours on a hot afternoon.Written 20 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VanderneuckerSeabrook, NH282 contributionsThis was an excellent farmer’s market. It had both produce and craft vendors. It was a large selection of many different things. We found a vendor who made brooms which we were very happy to purchase. Parking was free and easy. This was our first visit to Saratoga and the Farmer’s Market was a very pleasant surprise.Written 27 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cynthia FFair Lawn, NJ3,356 contributionsExcellent museum of military history. Just the right amount of information.
I loved the WWII exhibit and might return a different day to see other exhibits, if they've fixed the air conditioning. Man at the front desk says they were already fixing it yesterday, the day I visited. Would have given 5* if A/C had been working.
Parking can be a challenge.
Across the street from our favorite restaurant.

The history of Saratoga is the natural springs the town is known for. Bottling the water was a big industry back in the day, and the bottling plant is a huge historic building in the centre of The Saratoga Spa State Park. While the bottling is no longer taking place, the bottling plant has been given new life as an Automobile museum.
The Automobile museum preserves and exhibits autombiles and related artefacts. The history of the automobile, and the role of it in New York state.
While we were there, there was a special exhibit – “Bond in Motion” – a collection of automobiles and other vehicles that were used and featured in James Bond movies.
The Aston Martins, the submarine, motorcycles, etc – all featured in 007 movies through the decades.
The museum will appeal to the gear head and anyone while loves cars. The Bond exhibit is a temporary exhibit, and may not be there for long – but it the museum has plenty to engage visitors.
The cost of the museum was about $20USD, which at first, we were a little surprised by but the museum is well worth it.
It is not a huge museum, and would be easy to do the whole thing in about an hour.

I loved the simplicity and beauty of it. It sparked me into believing I can decorate my walls beautiful without the traditional pictures. The exhibit on the Mezzanine is a must see. At first I thought it was just a sitting area but then you will notice how common buckets can be made artistic plant holders. The chairs were also beautiful woven. My visit was definitely an inspiring way to spend a winter's Sunday.Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - james cGloversville, NY8 contributionsStopped in Fri early eve, 10/20/23. Everything was fine, atmosphere, wait staff, then the 'band' started playing. Very loud, very inappropriate choice for a dinner crowd. Just a lot of screaming and the world's worst drummer. Food was great, we'll go back again, thankfully the place is large enough to be seated far from the band. I gave my rating in spite of the band. Hopefully, we just hit that one bad night, really liked the place and the foodWritten 23 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
