Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Shannon Z22 contributionsWater safari was fun, a bit expensive but all around a great time. Wasn't too busy on a Sunday. Didn't get to see enchanted forest but next year we will!Written 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maltipoo16New York1,903 contributionsExtremely beautiful hike with an excellent payoff at the summit! The trail was very well maintained with a lot of room to get around other parties. The parking at the trail head was interesting, as I had the last open spot and there was a Ranger there directing and monitoring the parking. It’s definitely a very busy trail. Views from the top of the fire tower were beautiful, but with the crowds, it’s hard to get any alone time up there for photos. It’s was a great hike, but plan accordingly if you want to avoid crowds.Written 14 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Awilda J10 contributionsMoose River Farm was a delightful visit. Petting turkeys, llamas, horses, donkeys, geese, and chickens and goats. Enjoyed the trail leashed llamas, and learning all the fun names in the farm.
The owner and tour guide was so informative and you can tell she really knows her farm animals. They are well taken care of and pretty plump! Good sign!Written 1 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, we along with hundreds of other tourists, decided the Columbus Day weekend was the time to visit. If you're up for it and don't mind waiting over a half hour, along with the other tourists, it's well worth the waitWritten 13 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Countrygal9904Rome, NY81 contributionsWe rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon. We had a great time! Staff is awesome. They have a store with a cool variety of items. From clothing to water toys to water skis. Highly recommended!Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - michelle w33 contributionsStopped in on Sunday, Nov 26 as we were in Old Forge for Christmas in the ADKs weekend. Lovely bar and business with excellent staff and service. While we don't usually drink beer, I was able to find a tasty 1911 raspberry cider, and husband had a specialty drink and a spiked root beer float. He had chowder, which was great, and an excellent bacon burger. I had a seriously hefty fried chicken sandwich, which was delicious, and a thrown-together salad that was just OK. (The ranch dressing had an odd flavor, but I managed to eat it all, ha.) I ordered a seltzer. They are made in house, with a seltzer gun and Torani syrup flavorings. I don't recommend them, truthfully. We stayed for two quarters of the football game and left to watch the Bills lose in private, at our motel. The bartender guy was a pure delight, constantly cleaning and checking on everyone. We will definitely come back again!Written 28 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

My favorite part was the doctor's office from the 1940s/50s on the second floor. We had never heard of the Canadian Indian "invasion" of 1972, so that was a fascinating piece of history too. I don't think we were there for a whole hour, but it was a nice, small town museum, perfect for a rainy day.Written 28 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanne KRochester, NY22 contributionsI stopped by View with my family when we were leaving the Adirondacks and heading home. We saw the exhibit Unprecedented: Art Responds to 2020. This was an AMAZING exhibit. It wasn't just about the pandemic. The exhibit shows the work the artists created during that time period. For some artists, the pandemic gave the artists more time to create. Some artists created art related to the Black Lives Matter movement. There was a great deal of variety. This exhibit was top quality, what I would expect from a big city, and a real surprise coming from a cultural center in the Adirondacks. I'm amazed that the admission was only $10 and free for teens. What a bargain! We had a peaceful lunch on benches in the peaceful garden at the front of the center. This place is a cultural center, so it is more than just a museum. There are classes here, as well as performances. This center is a true gem!Written 4 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - STM0041Bullard, TX833 contributionsAttended Jesus Christ Superstar at the Strand this month. Beautiful venue, comfortable seats, great acoustics, friendly staff and an excellent show. Made for a wonderful night. Arrived 1/2 hour before showtime and found free parking on the street a block from theater.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mrsp81206Rochester, NY71 contributionsBy far the best, most inventive mini golf course I've been to and I've been to quite a few. From the street it looks crammed in but that's not the case at all. My husband and 7 year old loved it as much as I did! Definitely don't miss out on this! Every hole is well themed and has creative twists.Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - foodwinesoccerGeorgia132 contributionsFun ADK place for go-carts and ticket-producing arcade games. Nice for a change of pace on vacation when you want to get away from the camp or cabin. Wednesdays are unlimited go carts from 2-5. Fun, but we got caught up in long lines with a summer camp.Written 28 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy O2 contributionsOne of my favorite stores in the Adirondacks! At every turn there is something new. My favorite area is the books. So much interesting history and tales about the ADKs. Things you wouldn't find anywhere else. And didn't miss the camping, food, and craft areas!Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
