Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's nice to visit this museum and learn the history of cheese in this part of the state. They have some interesting antiques as well as a yummy fudge shop!!

Stop by Salamanca New York to visit the Seneca Indian Museum. The small museum was closed because a brand new state of the art museum what's being constructed. Decided to drive around the community and came across the Salamanca Area Historical Society - an old converted bank. Very interesting find filled with interesting and amazing local history including artifacts. But the biggest find - Salamanca is the birthplace (and he grew up there) of Hollywood songwriter Ray Evans. He is considered "The Last of the Great Hollywood Song Writers." Ray Evans wrote White Christmas, Mona Lisa, Tammy, Que Sera Sera and many other popular/familiar/classic Hollywood tunes. Very interesting reading the biography of Mr. Evans, and the building itself it's worth the visit- an old converted bank - original structure.

Stopped after the Cuba Garlic Festival. What a great store! The parking lot was full considering the nearby festival, so we had to park around the corner. Very busy but staff was efficiently cashing people out despite the line wrapped around the store. Massive selection of cheeses, free samples available (so yummy - we bought both that were featured because they were outrageously good). Everything was reasonably priced, perfect amount of flavor in all three cheeses we brought home. Wish it was closer because I would be a regular.

The Palmer Opera House is a newly restored building that was literally falling apart and down. If you saw the slides of the original shape the building was in you would never believe it was the same place. It houses the Cuba cheese museum downstairs, it has an elevator for handicapped persons, but the beautiful banister staircase is something to behold. A lot of the paint, tiles, and things were donated to the restoration project. Monies were raised from the townspeople and surrounding areas to do this project which was years in the making. Volunteers also contributed to cleaning, painting, carpentry and the like. The stage kept original wall with old graffiti from the 1800's and there is a special graffiti on the left wall that I don't want to spoil it here for anyone that you've got to see, It has wonderful acoustics, a wonderful stage, plenty of seating. People have already gotten married here with their reception! I recommend this stop for their many shows and open mic nights.
