One may enjoy watching ducks and geese on the pond or just sitting and relaxing. There are several picnic areas, as well as pavilions to reserve, and playground area. - Maltipoo16New York1,901 contributionsThis shopping center is smaller in the amount of stores it has, but it is extremely spread out. There are only a couple of stores that are walkable from each other without having to walk into the traffic of the parking lot. So you do need to move the car if you want to go to the different sections of the shopping center. The parking here can also be a bit annoying, because the people are pretty aggressive coming off the road by Colonie Center! This one was fairly close to the La Quinta I stayed at and DinerTime where I had lunch ~ about 2 miles from both. It conveniently located not far off US Route 7, the Troy-Schenectady Road.
It was a good place to walk around to help burn off lunch.
It’s a great park for children as there is a lot of playground equipment for sliding and climbing. There’s a good amount of space for walking around.
For what it is, I rate Burns Whitney Pocket Park at 3.50. It’s a worth a visit for a family with younger children or for someone who just wants to walk around.

They fell off one day later so we had to go back and get them put back on. Less than a week later after we got home from vacation they all broke and fell off- some even being lost. The owner refused to give us our money back even after sending pictures of the broken ones that snapped off. After a week of trying to get a refund, the owner stop responding to us. When I had my husband call the owner said he wasn’t going to offer a solution and called us scammers and hung up on us.
