We were in a sea kayaking trip to the Thousand Islands region and camped at Grass Point State Park, and decided to take a day off the water to explore Clayton.
The location is wonderful, with ship traffic passing within an half mile or so and a very appealing shoreside park.

Love this park great little museum packed with a lot of history of the local area.
The park docks are well protected from the chop and the picnic facilities are great

Cedar Point State Park has one of the best views of the western end of the 1000 Islands on the St. Lawrence River.
In spite of them, this is a great little state park and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
