Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Justin WHasbrouck Heights, NJ6,924 contributionsSecor Farms is a reminder of Bergen County New Jersey’s rural past. It is one of the last farms left in the area and is a interesting and wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
In the summer months, they have a large selection of flowers and decorative bushes for sale in the green houses. They have all the equipment needed to create the perfect garden and lawn in their main store. They have people on hand to give you advice on how to grow things and landscape.
They also have a great gift shop where they sell all sorts of baked goods and local gourmet products. Their cider doughnuts are really good.
During the Fall months especially around Halloween and Thanksgiving, the farm comes alive with hayrides, apple and pumpkin picking and all sorts of holiday activities.
It is a fun way to spend the afternoon.Written 17 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum tells a lot of stories not just of the history of the town of Mahwah, but other aspects of the State of New Jersey.
The first part of the museum is dedicated to the history of the town of Mahwah and is development. There is an excellent display of Lenape Native American artifacts and recent history of the tribe. The tribe is still active in the area.
The is an interactive and amazing display of items from Palisades Amusement Park including a small copy of the park done in miniature. There are all sorts of artifacts and pieces of equipment and rides from the park.
The Les Paul exhibition is one of the most extensive in the country and tells the story of the musician and his career. He was a local resident.
The museum takes about an hour to view but you might want to spend more time enjoying this and the sister museum the Old Rail Station Museum.Written 17 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In the winter we enjoy the tubing (I have not skied here in over a decade so cannot comment on that) and in the summer there are many hiking trails for light to moderate hiking experiences. It's a great place to get the kids off their screens and get outside.Written 2 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RichardNew York City, NY493 contributionsImmaculate Heart of Mary is a center for community and worship in Mahwah. The parking lot is known to sanction the start of parades that lead down Island Road leading up to Commodore Perry Fields or to the town square.Written 9 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
