Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the best boat tour for the price. $15/person and we had Tim as our tour guide. He is the best part of the tour. Great storyteller and points out very interesting things along the way.

Park up in the road and walk over to the Cathedral of St Helena. The stain glass windows are truly something to see. A lovely place to visit and remember loved ones.

We took the guided tour—Donna was a super guide, took her time answering questions and was very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of this beautiful building, and highly recommend the guided tour. The grounds are lovely with several nice picnic tables.

3 of us attended. We paid to do a double load (we sifted until we had twelve 5 gallon buckets of gravel) and then ran them through the machinery. It was a 97oF day, so we only sorted 1/2 the gravel, and took the rest home in 2 bags to look through later. In the half that we looked through at the mine itself, we found 2 that were over 5ct, including 1 beautiful specimen that could cut out at 2ct and 4 others over 2ct. In addition, we found a few garnets, fossils and agates.

I can't say enough about the support and staff. They are great people! Amazing and helpful. We got a tour of the commercial side that was very informative. After we sort the other bags, we will be sending the best back to them for cutting over the winter (when the mine is closed). Their cutting work is great and seems reasonably priced compared to some other options.

Not to throw stones at other places (so I won't name them) but several years ago, we got a giant bag of gravel from another place in Montana that had nothing like the 6 best stones we got here - and we got to experience more of the whole process, which was definitely worth it.

Mount Helena is a small mountain in Helena that has many trails to hike. From beginners to advance. We took the easier trail since I had a bad foot on our vacation and it was do able. The views of the city are beautiful from this mountain. We did not see any wildlife except for a few birds but it was a beautiful and peaceful hike.

Great free tour of this beautifully restored Victorian home. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot of history of the Helena area during this tour, couched in the context of the families who have lived here.

I liked that walk amidst the ceramics. The first thing we saw was that the roof had fallen apart, but it was not dangerous at all.

While we walked we could see all kinds of ceramics. Modern ones, and attractive ones.

There were several people enjoying what they do, like us.

It was amazing that all of this was for free. We had nothing to pay for the walk.

We had fun and we enjoyed the ceramics.

    Worthwhile to see!

I had a Pilsner and a Scottish Ale. Both were very good. My wife had two different IPAs which she liked a lot.

We didn’t have trouble getting a seat but the place was pretty crowded at 4:30 on a Wednesday.

    Recommended.

The beer is delicious. They have 12 on tap which were all yummy. They have a small food menu including pizza which was okay. If you come here, come for the beer.

It's a short drive and beautiful drive from Helena. Recommend going on to Lincoln from this drive. Best to have a 4 WD, big holes in the drive to the top.

Hired SUP from Helena Boat Rentals. Enjoyed paddling and taking in the view. There were a few ski boats about and imagine it could get busy and more crowded than when we were there.

If you have a kid who likes to build things, go here. It is more of a play space than a museum but that is ideal for young kids. We had a lot of fun and my son wanted to go back a few days later. The Great Northern Carousel is right next door and there is an ice cream parlor there as well, complete with "Montana Moose Moss" ice cream.
