Beautiful setting. Feel like you’re nestled in the mountains. Pool area was nicely laid out - plenty of chairs and a fire pit. We went mid-Oct and it was not crowded (about 30 other people). We took our three teenage boys and grandma - we spent about 2.5 hours there on our way to Yellowstone, but could have stayed longer!

This is a "Well Oiled Machine" of an operation!! A bit tricky to get to, go slow on that bumpy county road to the top of the mountain, but a surprise at the top of well maintained and very nice outbuildings. Everyone was matched to just the right horse! The guides were well versed and friendly as could be. And the views were out of this world beautiful! We did the dinner ride, and the food was Fabulous!! Songs and marshmallows by the fire after dinner was a very cute ending to this event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Six of us (4 adults & 2 teens) did the two-hour ride on Saturday morning, 7/29. As some have said, the road up to Jardine and to the horse corral was an adventure in itself, but nothing a minivan couldn't handle! We arrived about 15 minutes before our scheduled 9:00 ride. Ralph and a couple others were there. J.R. was our guide. He went through the basics of horseback riding with us and then they paired us up with our horses, making sure everyone was comfortable with what they were doing. We headed out into some absolutely beautiful upcountry until we reached a large open meadow an hour into the ride. We then returned via the same trail, as there are no "loops" up there. J.R. was very good at setting a nice pace and keeping an eye on everyone and slowing/stopping as needed when someone's horse wasn't cooperating (be aware that Mouse likes to stop and eat grass a lot if you let him! :-)
The two hours seemed to pass quickly as the scenery from up there was gorgeous. Everyone really enjoyed the experience.
Highly recommend the two-hour ride with this outfit!

We had a brilliant time with Jamie our Wolf Tracker guide getting superb views of Wolves, Grizzlies, Black Bear, Mountain Goats and of course the Bison and Elk. We also learned alot about the animals, environment and management which brings everything to a higher level of enjoyment than just seeing them. Highly recommend

Amazing experience. This was our second trip with Yellowstone Wild and both have been incredible- lifetime memories were made. We took this trip with Kyle and saw grizzlies, black bear, bison, elk, and pronghorn. What made it special were the unexpected moments- seeing mother golden eagle feed her babies. Seeing osprey babies and parents. And seeing the smallest bird in North America (calliope hummingbird). Kyle was great with us and our kids. We’ll be back again! I highly recommend it.

Best guided tour in Yellowstone. MacNeil is so informative and knows the best places to see wildlife. He was so kind and knowledgeable. Our tour was planned over what we wanted to see. Had the best time, learned so much and so some amazing wildlife. Highlight of the trip!! Especially seeing all the wolves!

Cara was an amazing guide. She has so much knowledge about the ecosystem. We saw so many animals! 2 wolf packs, a mountain lion, 2 moose, pronghorn, bison, pygmy owl, great horned owl. Epic day and so much fun. A must do and totally different way to see Yellowstone. It was a true life-moment.

I planned aur trip for Yellowstone for my mother‘s 80th birthday. My mom, sister and I spent an amazing day with Audra/Lamar Valley Touring. She provided transportation to and from where we were staying in Gardiner, which was very convenient. We did the early morning tour which started at 5:15 AM so that we could have the best chance of seeing wildlife. We were able to see the elusive wolves, two different packs! This was so exciting! We also saw bears, bison, elk, mountain goats, a moose, and various birds including eagles and osprey. It is amazing to see how the guides in the park assist each other and help to put each other onto where the animals are. Each time we would get near animals, Audra and her assistant would set up scopes and other equipment for us to clearly view them. Audra’s enthusiasm and excitement for finding the animals was evident, even though I know she does these tours regularly. Her love for animals and nature made the experience even more special. I cannot recommend highly enough. This was our best day at Yellowstone!

When into Yellowstone 4 times the first week of June 2024. We have used Ashea and her team 10 times ove the last seveal years and they continue to impress. We were with Ashea 2 days and Rhiana and they are both fantastic. In addition, to being great wildlife guides they are both extremely knowledgeable about the park. In addition they are both attentive and thoughtful of what it takes to be just a drive thru Yellowstone to wonderful experience. We will be traveling with them again in 2025.

Cooper was so knowledgeable and really tailored our trip to our interests. He made it possible for us to see so much wildlife that we would have never seen on our own. In minutes he set up scopes to our individual heights and took pictures plus video with our cellphone. We got to see an osprey fly with a fish, eat a portion and then share it with the osprey in the nest. Just amazing! We saw bears and coyotes and wolves!!!! This tour was the highlight of our trip and we want to encourage every visitor to Yellowstone to take this tour. Thank you Cooper for a great day and wonderful memories of Yellowstone!

Woke up before dawn and had the great day I have ever had in a National Park. Our guide, Evan, knew the park practically by heart. He knew all the best spots, brought high capacity scopes and could spot wildlife that would have been invisible had I been by myself. Our group tracked wolves, spotted grizzlies, watched golden eagles, and learned about the history and philosophy of Yellowstone over 8 hours. It was absolutely unforgettable, and I highly recommend!

Mike was an amazing tour guide who taught us the history of the parks as well as provided drinks and snacks! He knew where the animals were and took us to find many of them! He’s a local, which is nice as he could recommend places to eat. His wife baked some goodies for us. Use him for the best private tour!
