Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a pleasure to visit a museum which was accessible to all levels, child and adult without exhibits being dumbed down and visitors being patronised. (Eg: how do you think dinosaurs felt?).
The outstanding exhibition was highly educational for example in describing the various stages of earth’s evolution and with an interesting machine showing the amount of time each geological aeon lasted. This was fun for kids. The information itself clearly explained how life evolved and how thermo-Phillip micro organisms released oxygen as an by product of photosynthesis over about 3 billion years completely altering the earth’s atmosphere.
A clear exposition of the scientific method: observation, hypothesis, testing and theory would be a useful addition to nearly all the museums I have visited and it was there!
The outstanding section and collection of dinosaur fossils was enhanced, for example by a short video explaining how growth rings in bone can be measured to estimate age and how bone circumference can be used to estimate the weight of adult dinosaurs (as much as 8,000 Kg).
It was particularly interesting and encouraging to see scientific paper references for the more academic visitors.
I liked the sponsors being acknowledged as caring and feeding a skeleton!
Areas for children seemed popular and a room of mythical creatures surely encouraged younger persons engagement

I didn’t expect to enjoy this museum as much as I did! I did not expect much since it was located on the MSU campus and looked like it was in an office building. It was packed full of interesting facts and incredible artifacts. It included electricity, computers and AI. Due to arriving late in the afternoon, we only had just over an hour to roam through; however, we could have used more time. It was well worth the time.

Super easy hike with a little bit of hard breathing. Nice to have the paved path, I’m nursing a bad knee so did not want uneven surfaces. We got there early & there was only one other car in parking lot. By the time we got back to our vehicles it was a busy parking lot & we passed a family & anotger few hikers going up as we were headed down.

Downtown Bozeman centers around Main Street going about a block North and a block South. It is full of shops, stores and restaurants. I’m staying at a hotel not far off the main drag and it is in easy walking distance. I visited several shops, went to one of the restaurants and scoped out places to eat for the rest of my visit. I’m planning to visit a few more shops as time permits. Definitely the place to be.

This place is great. True compassion for the bears that unfortunately cannot be released into the wild. The bears were so playful and entertaining!

This was our first Montana Ski experience and we will be back! What a treasure Bridger Bowl is. Friends of mine had told me it’s a “hidden gem” and isn’t that the truth! Bridger Bowl makes a Montana ski experience possible for big families. You get incredible mountain skiing experiences for a great price. So many options at the multiple chalets to eat and hang out. Great staff all around, everyone is friendly! Really fun skiing, excellent snow and well groomed runs, and plenty of options for all levels of skiers. We had 5 teenagers on the trip and they were highly satisfied and impressed, not always an easy accomplishment!

Snow beautifies any landscape. Well, this one really is gorgeous. Hills, river, forests etc. The river is obviously the centerpiece of the views. A long stretch is protected land inside Yellowstone NP. Caution that the road is also dangerous, especially below Big Sky where folks often are tanked up after skiing, mixed with flatlander rookie drivers in the mountains who rented non-4WD-non-snow tired vehicles, ugh, watch out. Still, would definitely return again and again, as worth the risk ;)

The library is in the middle of construction but services did not seem to be affected very much. I love the coffee shop and used book area.

The theater was having a “yard” sale in the back of the theater the day we flew into Bozeman. Since we love exploring, we took time to walk around the alley to go to the sale. We had a wonderful visit with the people who helped restore this old theater. My hometown recently restored an old movie theater so it was great to see this happening in other parts of the U.S.

An amazing winter hike to the falls. Totally worth it! It was easy to follow the tracks. We went back on the other trail and enjoyed the other ice falls.

We have an ASTC museum membership that allows us to visit science and children's museums for free when we travel, so we stopped here on our trip, thinking it was just a place to get out of the car for an hour. Boy were we surprised!
This was one of the best museums we have seen for its small size (and we visit a lot of museums). It is mainly one big room, with a loft for additional materials, but what they fit into that space is just wonderful. They had a great area for building vehicles that kids could roll around in, information and activities related to ecology and environmental design, a small area about animals and plants, plenty of light and physics displays, and upstairs in the loft was a great computer lab for activities in Minecraft and 3D printing. Our kids are on the older side (age 9 and 11) and they had a blast with everything.
Beyond the space and activities being lovely, the people were even better. They were all helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Because our 3D printed project broke the first time in the printing machine, they even sent a re-do in the mail! Way above and beyond any of our expectations, and it made our day!! We just love this place and wish it were closer to home, because we would go all the time!

We needed to kill a bit of time so we walked around here for a bit. Very clean, nice walkable paths, pretty views. Also the dog park appeared to be very well used as there were several dogs running around. The two ponds were nice, both had ducks in them and you can swim in one of the ponds.

Thanks to the many organizations and individuals who have had a hand in creating and maintaining this great swimming spot. It has a really nice, low-key feel to it — just local families (and a few visitors, like us) enjoying the water and a picnic on a sunny summer day.
