Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Snow beautifies any landscape. Well, this one really is gorgeous. Hills, river, forests etc. The river is obviously the centerpiece of the views. A long stretch is protected land inside Yellowstone NP. Caution that the road is also dangerous, especially below Big Sky where folks often are tanked up after skiing, mixed with flatlander rookie drivers in the mountains who rented non-4WD-non-snow tired vehicles, ugh, watch out. Still, would definitely return again and again, as worth the risk ;)

This 4.5 mile hike is breaktaking! We hiked along the river most of the way. There are a few switchbacks that help you gain altitude, but overall it was a pretty easy hike and the lake was a perfect reward!

This is one of the most beautiful little alpine lakes that are located in the Bridger Mountains near Bozeman, Montana. The long, gravel and dirt access road will likely damage the undercarriage of a normal passenger car, though that doesn't stop many locals from thrashing their old car to get there. The lake is only a few hundred yards away from the parking lot, which has picnic tables. There is a walking trail around the small lake and a couple of steep hiking trails will take you to the nearby peaks. There you will likely run into a mountain goat family, but the views of Gallatin Valley and the city of Bozeman on the other side of the ridge are special and worth the trip if you are relatively fit and are wearing sturdy shoes.
