Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This fishing trip definitely met expectations. The Smith River is a beautiful spot on Earth that I felt privileged to experience. The fishing ranged from OK to fantastic, with several 18+" trout caught on the trip.
The guides were all professional and knowledgeable, and happy to teach. The camping accommodations and food were very good. The food was very tasty and well prepared. Service was excellent, everyone friendly and outgoing.

We had a great experience with Madison River Tubing. They were punctual and organized. The equipment they gave us was solid and in great shape. She went over safety information for the river and made sure we understood where to exit. I hightly recommend this!! So fun!!

Both of our guides were great and helped the novices in our group. Very low-key, but beautiful way to see Lower Madison River.

Fished with Matt Hoff for two days. One day wading and one day fishing primarily from the drift boat. First day we fished in a blizzard with temps in the 30’s & low 40’s and Matt still put us on fish. Second day, we had beautiful weather and another productive fishing day. Matt’s professionalism, knowledge of the river and not to mention his patience were outstanding. Highly recommend Matt and Nate’s crew.

This is our fourth trip with our favorite guide. He really knows the waters he fishes, very professional and personable. He uses quality equipment and gets us into fish.

Nick Bacon was outstanding. We floated the Yellowstone and caught several nice rainbows and browns on drys in the afternoon and dry / droppers in the morning. He’s very knowledge about the river, the local area and the fish. I’m a long time fly fisherman and he was able to improve my cast and get us into all the right places. Would highly recommend.

You're not going to find a more experienced guide on The Yellowstone than Captain Jamie! We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day in mid-April and Jamie put us onto some beautiful rainbows, cutthroats, browns and white fish. Awesome shore lunch to boot. Book him today for your fly fishing trip because his schedule fills up fast!

Brett was amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I (who were first time fly fishers) understood the basics before getting us in the boat and kept us fishing all day! Brett truly wants you to have a good time and took the time to allow us to appreciate the various kinds of trout we caught throughout the day. With no prior experience, my husband and I didn’t plan to catch much. But with Brett’s guidance, we had a fun filled day of casting and catching trout! We caught rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. We made memories that will last us a lifetime!

We had no idea what we were doing but wanted to try fly fishing. The staff helped us get waders and boots. They were helpful and patient. We left a jacket behind and they called us to let us know they had it for when we returned our rentals. Upon returning, the staff asked how our trip went and was genuine during our conversation. Wish all companies treated their customers like this!

We have utilized them for both ATV and Snowmobiling. Have been very helpful and friendly. Gave good advice on riding and locations. Nice equipment. When there was an issue with on snowmobile, they took care of it. Will definitely use them again in the spring.

This was an amazing trip! Headed out to Helena with two friends for a guys weekend fishing. Sean was amazingly helpful, friendly, and patient throughout. We went in late May, weather was a little chilly and wet this first day, drier the second. Sean was in contact before to make sure we packed the right stuff (warm base layer, fleece type jacket, raincoat, quick dry pants, polarized sunglasses, etc). He got us a discount at the Holiday Inn In Downtown Helena. He picked us up, stopped for some brief "dry" fly fishing casting lessons, as we're all novice at fly fishing. Drive out to the Gates of the Mountains on the Missouri River. Amazing jet boat experience. Sean brought everything we needed. Two of us could fish at a time, the other hung out and kicked back with a "few". Caught beautiful rainbow trout. Fished for about 8-9 hours per day. Sean packed lunches for us to eat on the river. Sean was incredibly knowledgeable about the river, fishing, and more. He was amazingly patient with us given our "newer" fly fishing skills too. By the second day we were rocking it. Great trip.

And re: Helena, be sure to check out Blackfoot Brewery for great beers and popcorn, along with Lewis and Clark Brewing, which also has pizza and brats. And for meals, Bert and Ernie's and Windbag were solid, as was the Quarry Grille at the Holiday Inn for breakfast. And CrossCurrents Fly Shop in town was über helpful in getting Montana fishing licenses, and other gear before we started.

Can't wait to return! Thanks Sean!!

I visited from Australia and Daniel and his team were super helpful. I tried on many pairs of waders, and found a pair with short legs that were perfect! They arranged for the Simns factory next door to add small bootees that fit. The waders just arrived and I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

Our family of four just finished a two week trip around Montana and Wyoming (primarily Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Glacier National Parks), in a Toyota Tacoma with a Go Fast Camper rented from Hatch Adventures. It was an awesome trip, and the perfect way to camp the parks. Setup was easy - the rooftop tent was easy to open/close, and we got the hang of the ARB awning and enclosed room/tent quickly too. The truck came with nearly everything we needed (chairs, table, silverware, cooler, etc.). The kids loved sleeping up top; we slept on the ground in the ARB tent. It thunderstormed our first night, and we're happy to report that everything - the rooftop tent, and ARB awning/tent - both stayed bone dry. Alisa and her husband were super responsive and really friendly; they made it easy to reserve the vehicle, explained how everything worked, and got us on our way. If you're looking for a unique way to camp out west - you should absolutely consider a rental from Hatch Adventures.
