Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When I entered this pub, which is situation inside the Baxter Hotel right on Main Street in Downtown Bozeman, I discovered it was pretty empty with just a few other customers. I took a seat at the bar and after about thirty second was addressed by the bartender. She was very pleasant and nice and I enjoyed our interactions. I decided to get the Huckleberry Sour (with an extra bit of sweetness) and the hunter fries. The drink was perfect, a bit of sweet and a bit of sour. The hunter fries were huge, though I would have liked a little more gravy and cheese. It was a very tasty meal, reasonable priced and a nice atmosphere. As I was getting ready to go, more people started to come in, glad I got there early to avoid the rush.

The Rocking Bar has been a prominent Bozeman, Montana mainstay since the late 1940’s. The new bar opened in 2011 in historic downtown Bozeman. Historically, the Bar proudly serves as a popular local hangout for Montana State University students, residents, and visitors alike. The Rocking R Bar is a backbone of the Bozeman community and a proud supporter of MSU athletics – a fact made evident by the MSU Bobcat memorabilia sprinkled throughout its décor. We had a great time here and recommend the place.

What a thrill is was last night to be treated to some of the best meals we have had in Bozeman. My wife had their BLT and I had the French Dip. Not only were they tasty, full of stuff. But big enough to bring half each home. Service was great. The only downside was the place is a bit loud. We will go back soon to try other tasty delights!

Seemed like a pretty typical college bar. They did have a few slot machines and two poker tables that were full the whole time I was there. Also had a few pool tables and a dart board.

Great entertainment at great price. $15 ticket that you buy downtown at Cactus Records or at the door. The place is exactly that an old filling station and garage. Bathrooms need a little work. it's a down and dirty venue with cheap beer $2 Olympia Beer. Easy to make our way up to front, no sitting down here except at bar. Pool table not sure on beer. Had great college vibe too. Totally great show for our ski vacation. It's on the Bridger Canyon Rd but on the outskirts of downtown. I think it's shows are bands on the way up. GO
