Try to get there around 9 or earlier to get a parking spot in the front parking lot or you will have to park back a little ways and walk a little bit to the beach.
When the tide went out the kids loved the nature.

In the height of the summer season especially on weekends parking is limited for non-residents...but there is parking at nearby Stage Fort Park with a shuttle to the beach!
You must buy a ticket to park, while residents can park free with resident permits.

This park has it all...nature trails, playgrounds, ball park, gazebo, picnic areas, beautiful coastline, Half Moon Beach, Massachusetts Bay Colony marker, stunning granite boulders everywhere.
We visited Stage Fort Park in late October and were wonderfully surprised to see some fall flowering plants in full bloom and trees with bright colors.
