An excellent place to visit - park up above in the long parking area just across the road from the Chatham Lighthouse and hike down.
Nature has made many changes to the outer bar, and it is always interesting to see the land formations.

The fee was $15-20 to park.

This is a lovely cycle path/walking path with only gentle gradients.It has a beautiful smooth surface and is a nice way to spend a few hours, see some nature and get some exercise.
It's spacious and well maintained, and goes through forests, marsh areas, a few towns (including Orleans Center) and a state park.
