Nice well maintained trails. Beautiful fall colors. Cycled from Cumberland to Frostburg and back. Saw turkeys, squirrels and various birds. Due to the slight incline to Frostburg, the trip took 2.5 hours from Cumberland to Frostburg but only 45 minutes on the return trip. Chilly in the morning - 40 degrees but warmed up into the 50's throughout the day. Lovely trip.

Our family of four with two teens enjoyed our visit. We walked through the tunnel and then took the trail over the hill and the tunnel. I forgot the name. It was about 3-4 miles total. It said it was strenuous but we didn’t think so. We enjoyed it. The ports potty was very clean and I was thankful for that. Beautiful view from the top of the hill.

Quiet this time of year. Bathroom was spotless. Warm shower awesome. Don't hesitate to pull in! I'm sure it's a gem in the summer too.

I absolutely love, love, love visiting Charis Winery and Distillery. Everything they have to offer in wine and spirits taste good to me. I always walk away with at least one case of wine because I only get there about once a year and I always have to restock or add on with something new. The owners are kind, wonderful and accommodating. I always learn something in conversations with them.

After a very heavy rain, my wife and I walked about two miles (round trip) on the tow path at the Cumberland end. The path was pretty wet, with some very large puddles, but the views of Cumberland as we walked were pretty scenic. A good place to get some exercise and enjoy the scenery.

We had a large group set up to tour so split it into smaller groups so we could all get through in a timely manner. Our guide was very knowledgeable, talking about Fort Cumberland, access to the river from the tunnels which may have been instrumental in the Underground Railroad, and the church that was built upon the foundations of the fort. We also learned about a room that was uncovered during some construction and heard stories about the beautiful Tiffany windows inside. We were able to enter the church itself and listen to the large organ and then went into the tunnels, making several stops along the way. We walked out to the front yard where you could visualize the trek the slaves would make up to the tunnels and their last stop on the way to freedom. The stairs are original, but the average person can navigate them using caution and the taller among us had to watch their heads at points. All in all, I would visit here again.

The beer was delicious, hard to choose, in the end, I chose the Mexican lager. The base camp coffee cream ale was also amazing. When we went, D’atris was there and we had the most amazing cheese steak. Filled with meat!!

Absolutely wonderful! The theatre exceeded my expectations! We saw Footloose and it was fantastic! Seating was comfortable with great views. Concessions and lobby very nice! Staff very friendly. We were staying at Rocky Gap Resort and Casino and wanted to see a show while in the area. So glad we found this theater. It is a gem! Loved it! 😍

On a very rainy day, our docent, Eve, provided a very detailed tour of the Gordon-Roberts House. While most of the furnishings were not original to the house, they were representative of the time period. There were some interesting innovations, such as the pre-electric elevator in the home. I think the house has been well maintained, and we did get to see how the family lived, compared to how some of the servants lived.

Due to the heavy rain, we weren't able to walk the grounds after the house tour.
