This is a lovely little gallery. Patricia is knowledgeable and friendly and has a passion for artists from the region. I am a repeat customer!

Personal conversation with the owner. You could see her passion. She gave away goodies, played games and even played the accordion for us.

The ferry ride to Peaks Island is a fantastic treat and so easy to accomplish. The island is a jewel in itself and very walkable. The 5th Maine Museum is a short walk from the dock. It doesn't take more than an hour to soak up all of the history of the museum. The view of the water from the museum is fantastic too. You absolutely will take away some great nuggets of history from your self guided tour. The staff is attentive and eager to help too.

The Gem Gallery is a collective gallery of island based artists, where even the year round folks can find unique jewelry, pottery, paintings, and sculptures you won't see anywhere else.

Eerie and fun. Maybe I play too many video games, so I felt like I was in a scary game. Using our smart phone lights we could barely see inside this fort. There are numerous rooms and people have spray painted art throughout. Unfortunately there was some litter as I could tell people party there at night. Nonetheless it was worthwhile embarking on this bizarre trip.

Great experience! Renting the golf cart was the best way to see the most of the island. Two hours was plenty of time to get around the island and allowed time for a few stops to enjoy the beautiful views.

Danielle, the gallery owner, makes beautiful, contemporary abstract expressionist paintings of Peaks Island that really capture the soul of the place.

She also chooses to feature artists from the greater area, including many from Peaks itself. It distinguishes itself in terms of fresh perspectives on local landscapes and distinctive single-artist shows.

It's a small gallery and totally worth a visit when on island.

We had some time to kill before the ferry came, so we took a walk to this cemetery to check it out. (We'd seen it from the ferry, and it's just a short walk from the ferry landing). It's a quirky little cemetery, with lots of topsy-turvy 19th century tombstones. It looks more like a graveyard than a cemetery, but it's still appealing and has some interesting stones and epitaphs. A favorite was Captain Thompson's tombstone with an anchor.

This was the best massage I have had in years! Thomas is a wonderful massage therapist - very professional. His place is extremely relaxing. No need for music - the sea provides the background sounds. I highly recommend Thomas!

Booked a horse riding experience as part of our day activities for my sister in laws Bachelorette party. I texted twice (her preferred way to communicate) to confirm our reservation but did not ever receive a reply. I also called and no one answered. On good faith we showed up anyways to find no one there. We weren't sure we were in the right place. We finally went down the end of a dirt path and found some of the volunteers. When we arrived they called up the owner (who answered right away for them) and she told them she wasn't expecting us to show up because other Bachelorette parties haven't shown up to their reservation...? Excuse me but I found that extremely rude to assume we wouldn't show and to not even answer my texts or calls was frustrating when I wanted a good day for my SIL.

There was a couple that graciously gave up their horses so we could go for our ride and they would go after we got back. God bless them, they were the only reason we didn't waste a trip that day. I have to say the volunteers (2 girls in highschool/college) that took us on our tour were the nicest and most knowledgeable people. They were amazing and I tipped each one at the end. They are the only reason I didn't give this place a 1 star review. They truly cared about the horses and the facility. My issues solely lie with the unprofessionalism of the owner.

Wish we could have stayed longer but the ferry was coming. What a great time. Stopped in after driving around the island in a golf cart. The service was great. Great drinks. Tasty food and what a wonderful view.

If you do Peaks Island. This Bike Rental is a must.
The warmth and nostalgia of the shop and owner totally sets the tone for the beauty you will see upon perusing around the island on your bike(s). He greeted us friendly, made sure that we knew our timing and understood the map of the island, gave us a fair price, and all with a smile and inviting character that embodies all of the Maine area.
