#2 of 37 Museums in Evora District
Several hundred acres of vineyards, a little cafe, a demonstration of wine making, and a tour through a small antique carriage museum made the time go by quickly.
The history of the estate is interesting, the location beautiful and it was great to see all the lovingly restored carriages and coaches in the museum.

While Arraiolos is off the beaten tourist path, this very good museum is well worth a visit to see the beautiful traditional hand-embroidered carpets of Arraiolis.
Beautiful museum that transports us to the origins of the fantastic carpets of Arraiolos.

Having been to a lot of museums in Portugal, this one was very good.
Opposite is true for the Museum in Evora where ancient art of the Roman and medieval periods coexist with superb presentation of two contemporary artists: Pedro Fazendo and Helena Calvet.

Brilliant Museum of Horse Drawn Transport
This is a warehouse full of old carriages (many of them royal) that cannot fit in the Lisbon Carriage museum.

This is a terrific free modern art museum across from the Museu do Evora and the Se (Cathedral).
Great reuse of historical space as an art museum.

We spent 2 hours in the Estremoz science museum, both kids (5 and 1) loved the tour.

The museum is included within the Évora Cathedral complex and includes an impressive sacred art collection.
As part of the cathedral tour the museum provided some great detail as well as artefacts from the different periods.
