Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful old church, 200 years old, with thick whitewashed walls and immaculately maintained with interesting interior decoration and raised pulpit, from which the congregation was addressed by the pastor in a mixture of Cook Islands Maori and English. It was delightful to see the many locals enjoying their Sunday service, resplendent in white dresses, suits and shirts, with many of the ladies wearing straw hats decorated with colourful flowers. But the highlight was the wonderful singing! Such harmony and enthusiasm and a truly joyful experience.

It's not a must, especially since you need a car to get to this side of Aitutaki from most of the hotels/resorts, but if you already rented a car I suggest to pass through this area and enjoy it - it looks better in real life than on pictures... plus it's hard to drive and take good pictures :P

Cool thing is that as you are driving out of the sudden all of the sunlight cuts off as the tree/trees are so dense and you feel like inside a mini "green bubble"

Although the fishing Gods were not kind on the day we went out with James on Wahoo, we still had a blast. Conditions were pretty ordinary, a 2-3 metre swell with .5 metre sea all day made trolling around the FADs a tad challenging but James knows his boat and how to safely drive to the conditions. My wife is a fair weather sailor and she felt comfortable and relaxed (mostly) all day.
Jame’s charming and culinary talented wife’s home cooked lunch was fabulous and required an after lunch swim to help work it off. James knows the best spot to swim with Giant Trevally and large hump headed wrasse. He supplies all snorkelling gear and it is a mind blowing experience to just be able to float along and have up to a dozen GT’s in the 15-20kg. range circling within arms length.
James went above and beyond our expectations, he extended the days trip by a considerable amount of time at no extra cost to us. Although the day’s score was fish -1, me - 0 it just didn’t matter. James is passionate about his beautiful island, it’s marine environment and being very customer focussed. We would definitely go out with Wahoo again- very highly recommended.
