We checked out various stores along the way and enjoyed the holiday lights. Parking was easy as we prepaid (so you save money!) at One Millennium Mile Parking at 120 E. McCormick and recently sold, it is home to luxury residences these days. The architecture is a truly remarkable example of the Gothic Revival style created by famous architect, Raymond Hood and his firm. The top of the tower is designed after the Tour de Beurre beurre of the Rouen Cathedral. Another notable feature of this spectacular skyscraper is its elaborate Neo-Gothic arched portal. Previously we have seen the city on a guided architectural tour, so we chose to try the Water Taxi with regular tours around the city area. One way tickets are USD 10 and All Day Passes are USD 20.
The yellow Water Taxi offers nice boats without the guide, but with the possibility to enjoy a drink on board and enjoy some of the most spectacular sights of the city. Built in 1968, it was the second tallest building in the world. Only the Empire State Building was taller. Now it is only the 5th tallest building in just Chicago. However, it remains an iconic landmark and is a key contributor to making Chicago one of the best cities for architecture in the world. For a steep price, you can visit the 360 Chicago Observation Deck on the 95th floor for incredible views both day and night. There is also a separate restaurant on the 94th floor. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a very sparse crowd (good for us, but not for the merchants) and the food court was an excellent selection of cuisines. If you go, you must try the TopGolf Swing Suite (6th floor). After we went inside and came back we noticed it is the church that was in the move " My Best Friend Wedding" with Julia Robert's.

The thought of this is actually way more scary than actually doing it, so I'd recommend doing it. Venturing into the beauty section I sampled the lipsticks with help from the sales associate and took advantage of the free gift offer and made a purchase. I love MAC cosmetics, especially their lipsticks so I was excited that I could indulge my weakness.
The rest of the store was just as pleasant to walk through and admire the merchandise. There were lovely displays including a flower cart where a fragrance purchase qualifies you for a lovely bouquet. It makes for a good mall experience and contribution to the shopping scene along the Magnificent Mile.
