Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the place to go if you are in the market for new, high end kitchen appliances or remodel fixtures and you want to see them and talk to peopel who know the differences between all the diff models/products. For those of us who live in small markets and can't actually see the actual appliances and are left to guess with either sales people who don't know squat (eg. Best Buy or small appliance stores that hire your college student on vacation), this is the place to go to really shop.

Make an appointment with all the show rooms and have them tell you about their products. They don't actually sell you the product, but they are very knowledgeable. Thermador, Bosch, Miele, Wolf, Monogram, Dakor, Waterworks, you name it, it's there.

One stop shopping with people who know their stuff.

I went with friends to an ikebana luncheon. We had a lovely buffet of salmon, chicken stir fry, several salads, fruit, and cookies. Then we watched an Ikebana demonstration with bamboo used as containers and material. Very good food and attentive servers. Very much attention to cleanliness.

You don't wanna miss this as Chicago is one of the most architecturally beautiful places I've ever seen. A lot of history and it was FREE.

Beautiful, intimate church in downtown Chicago. Attended Holy Mass as guest and very much enjoyed the experience. Parishioners welcoming of guests, peaceful service and great homily (by pastor of the church, father Joe). If you visit Chicago and look for a great church to attend Mass, consider going to Assumption Catholic Church.

Ann Nathan Gallery is located in River North district of Chicago. This gallery is one of the oldest if not the oldest figurative and representational art gallery in Chicago. Victor, who is the assistant director there, is a very knowledgable and patient person easy to work with

My husband and I walked by the park during the Pandemic. The play ground area was closed but the doggy play area was open. We sat on a nearby bench overlooking the river.

I felt the collections were displayed best and I also appreciated the write-ups on the artist and artwork. They were very informative. Many of the artists/subjects had a connection to Chicago. Very well done.

A fun, unique speakeasy. It was a bit pricey but worth the experience. They have different specialty drinks every night, which are chosen by tarot cards. They have pop up performances about every 30 minutes. We saw two female, burlesque dancers, and one male burlesque dancer, and one guitar player with funny songs. It is definitely a 21+ club. Definitely make a reservation in advance or you may be waiting a while. some of the drinks were very good. The others were not so good but it’s fun to try new things. We did not eat the food, but had the Nutella ice cream sandwich dessert which was very good. Overall I would go back, it was fun.

I ran a program and served in a plenary panel at a major conference held at the McCormick. It's a huge hall with high ceilings, vast spaces, easy-on the ears acoustics, and plntiful supplies of low to medium quality coffee, Danish and sandwich options. For someone like me who has mobility challenges it requires WAY too much walking, but there are wheelchair and electric cart options, so no complaints. A gentleman on staff who gave me wrong directions because I asked him a question based on an inaccurate realized the problem and walked a full city block to find me and escort me to the right place: saved my day energy-wise and made me live the Center!
