Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- J EFredericksburg, VA11,755 contributionsWe have a suite here, so we stopped in to catch the Blackhawks – Ducks game. Our suite attendant was awesome! She made great suggestions and was very attentive! It was a breeze getting in and out. The view was decent, but these suites seem to be much better for hanging out and socializing than actually watching the game. The energy level was just ‘ok’… I’m from the DC area and used to the Caps, which are not only a very energetic team, but watching their games is such fun.
Getting in and out was easy. The only annoying part were all the shady taxi drivers all over asking if they can give a ride on the way out – the staff should do a better job keeping them away. Also, same with the homeless… a guy with his dog begging was very annoying and coincidently, I saw him the night before somewhere else downtown walking in traffic with that dog – I could careless about him, but someone needs to ensure the dog is taken care of, healthy, and kept safe from his odd actions. Oh, and keep the beggars away from the stadium too.
Overall – A great time was had!Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There's lots of construction in the abyss, and as such there's little helpful signage and direction. It was difficult for us as seasoned travelers; we did ask questions multiple times and finally found our way to street level. I was excited seeing the famous staircase filmed in the Untouchables where Kevin Costner and Andy Garcia captured the bookkeeper! Of course I couldn't resist reenacting the scene - "Got him"Written 7 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth A.Chicago, IL42 contributionsThe guided tour of the Auditorium Theatre is an absolute must for history buffs and Chicago enthusiasts! Length ranges from 1.5-2 hours and the tour includes the main floor, balconies, lobby, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, and standing on the stage! Our guide, John P., was a wealth of knowledge and has a deep love for what he does. We thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Written 31 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kristy PRepublic, MO8 contributionsWent here for my friends 50th Birthday. We had a blast. I would recomend taking your time in each room as its self guided but you can't go backwards. We loved how the lights and stuff worked in each room. There was lots of places for cool selfies. Don't forget to check out the bathrooms at the end as they also have exibits in them as well. Oh and the tasting station was also worth stopping for. The gift shop in the end is fun with games you can play and a wall of chips you can't find many place. I recomend trying one!Written 30 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- brmusicmanChicago, IL3,120 contributionsGreektown's easy to access as a visitor to Chicago; it's just west of the Kennedy expressway, is not far away from the Loop (downtown), and is the gateway to the West Loop, full of hip bars and restaurants. Easy public transit access via bus or CTA blue line stops.
Perhaps some of the character of Greektown has been reduced in recent years. This is due to some of the classic Greek restaurants along Halsted St. closing, due to either families deciding to get out of the business or shifting business conditions; the closure of some of the Greek-focused retail; and the gentrification of the surrounding neighborhood, now one of Chicago's most affluent. That said, it still has a Greek feel: there's the Hellenic museum; cool, Greek-focused architectural details; Greek street art; and a number of excellent Greek restaurants at which you can still get an authentic Greek meal and Greek hospitality.

- Tyler HUnited States49 contributionsOne of the best historic house tours I’ve ever been on. - JwkruzDowners Grove, IL178 contributionsWe stopped by to see how it had transformed since UIC had taken over its original location. It's a lot of food stalls (Mexican food) and the rest of the vendors are selling flea market junk. The Randolph St market would be a much better alternative.Written 3 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzy BBedford, NH158 contributions$15 for a three-day paper ticket pass was the deal of the century. CTA trains and buses got us from Midway to our Magnificent Mile hotel and all around town during our stay. Knocking one point for the broken escalators, stairs and sketchy elevators we had to navigate with luggage. Otherwise, the system was easy to use for these suburban newbies, with seamless integration with Google maps and clear signage and announcements along the way. With our hotel charging $75/night for parking, we can’t imagine doing this any other way.Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
