Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Montrose Beach doesn't receive the acclaim and notoriety of its more celebrated neighbors to the south, North Avenue Beach and Oak Street Beach. But in Chicago's scheme of things, the patch of sand and surf at 4400 Du Sable Lake Shore Drive, at Montrose Avenue, in the Uptown/Lincoln Park neighborhood, on the Lake Michigan shoreline, is the city's largest public beach. It also is the site of a bird and butterfly sanctuary and the home of the Corinthian Yacht Club, which has 711 slips for boaters, large and small. Montrose Beach also offers some amenities that other city beaches don't provide, like wi-fi, a dog friendly beach, a non-motorized boat launch, restrooms, showers, jet ski rentals, fishing, volleyball and kayaking and canoeing rentals, kiteboarding and the Dock, a full-service restaurant and bar. Not to mention a spectacular view of the Chicago skyline. Of course, most visitors prefer Montrose Beach for swimming and sun-bathing. The beach is open from 6 to 11 daily while swimming is permitted from 11 to 7 when lifeguards are on duty during the beach season which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Thank you two brothers sailing for a great day celebrating Father's Day and my daughter's birthday. Mike was very accommodating and followed up with a phone call prior to our trip to make sure he knew what we wanted, where to go, etc. We booked a 2 hour sail with 6 people and Captain Ken had us on the water for 2 1/2 hours so we really appreciated the extra time out on the water. I will definitely recommend them to others and hope to go sailing again with Two Brothers!

Captain Ben knows his stuff! We had a blast going out sailing with him! Not only did we have fun but also felt very confident that we were safe onboard and that the captain knew what he was doing. That automatically makes for a more enjoyable trip--particularly with people who aren't confident on the water or with kids. It's a wonderful way to experience both Chicago and its natural surroundings! Highly recommend.
