We love going here every time! It can be a little crowded, but there is so much here to enjoy, that you don’t really notice it! Definitely a must see, especially during the Chicago Marathon!

Fabulous park! So many different areas for kids to play, for various ages. I can’t say enough great things about this park! It is expansive - we maybe saw 1/3 of it - highly recommend!

My family and I walked through Lincoln Park. There was a lot of free street parking without any major restrictions. We enjoyed the views of Chicago’s skyscrapers, and this park was well manicured with its plants, its paths, and its fountains. There was even a restaurant within this park. We could also see great views of Lake Michigan. We felt uneasy when we walked through this park at night, and it was empty after sundown occurred.

Grant park is another amazing lakeside park in Chicago. The gardens are stunning as are the various fountains. Nice place to relax.

Cool and hip neighborhood with lots of shops, stores, apartments. It is a good place to stroll and shop for various items. There are coffee shops, vintage clothing shops, vinyl record shops, and more. Go for a walk along North or Milwaukee Ave.

The 606 is similar to the Highline in NYC where the trail is elevated on old train tracks. Love all the plants and trees lining the pathway. They were all well maintained and there’s a variety of plantings. Not very many benches to rest on the pathway but many street exits if you chose to explore the neighborhoods. Damen St in Wicker Park is perfect for drinks & a bite to eat. Just be careful when walking on the trail because there can be a lot of bikes. Definitely a nice alternative trail in Chicago besides the lakefront. Will be back!

Happened upon the park as we were walking to the zoo. Lovely green space. Areas to relax under a tree or have a picnic. Well kept and beautiful.

...the bathrooms are atrocious! Guess that's a good thing though as opposed to folks using the lake as a bathroom right? The lake water is clean. Beach was somewhat clean until people started leaving and not picking up their trash.

Parking in the lot right in front of the beach is not free. It's $2 per hour. I thought parking was free adjacent the lot but as I was going to put more money on my sticker I saw at least 15 cars with tickets. So if you are paying to park I suggest you keep up with the time or pay for all day which is just as much as if you paid to park at North Ave. Beach in a lot.

Plenty of shade and picnic areas. You can grill. There are also vendors selling tacos, corn (elotes), cotton candy, etc. Lifeguards on duty until about 7pm. Swim at your own risk after that.

This is a quiet park just north of Navy Pier. The one thing that I really noticed was how quiet it was. Unless you look to the west and see all the buildings it is possible to forget you are in a big city. The park is green, as nice well maintained trails and is just a nice tranquil place.

My wife and I have been in Chicago the last two weeks visiting her relatives. Last Wednesday her sister said "Let's go to the Calumet Fisheries fish shack at the 95th Street Bridge." It was a wonderful and beautiful day, so it seemed logical to have a picnic at nearby Calumet Park, so we did. We stopped at the fish shack and bought smoked salmon, smoked trout, deep fried lake perch, and breaded shrimp, and all the proper sides. When we got to the Park, we found a shaded spot about ten feet from the shoreline of Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful and serene spot, and very close to the boat ramp. There were probably 50-60 people near us that had the same idea...great day...beautiful setting...time for a picnic. It was a wonderful and relaxing day with great food and great company. Calumet Park is a very large and well kept Chicago city park. The lakefront scenery is beautiful. The park has many soccer fields, baseball fields, a very large sandy swimming area with lifeguards on duty. There is even a working Coast Guard base on-site. It's a great place!

This park is often overlooked by tourists. It's not far at all from the Metra Electric line and also easy to get to by bus. There are pleasant walks along the Lake Michigan shoreline and a nice beach as well. There are free public restrooms at the beach. The approach from neighborhood streets could be improved, as the underpasses for Lake Shore Drive can be a bit intimidating.

My daughter enjoys swimming. We came to the point so she can enjoy swimming in the Lake Michigan. She said the water was very cold but clear.

We have a tradition with neighbors to spend one day a month exploring a new neighborhood in Chicago. It was Humboldt Park's turn, and the main attraction on a lovely late summer/early fall day was Humboldt Park itself! Definitely worth exploring. The park is HUGE and had several beautiful pavilions and vistas. It was a great place to walk, catch-up, and see Chicago in-action.

Spend some time in the field house; it's architecture is beautiful and there's some neat features inside. The pavilion is also gorgeous, with nice views of the water and families having fun in the park. There are several statues throughout the park, including one of the namesake (a German who made important contributions to science). We also enjoyed reading some online history about the park and its surrounding neighborhood--it's played big roles in the history of Chicago's significant Polish and Puerto Rican communities. The crowd in the park during our visit was diverse--great to see families out enjoying a great city's parks on a beautiful day.

Daley Plaza, located in the central part of Chicago Loop, looks busy in any time of the year, and from the mid-May till the beginning of October, it is the place, hosting on Fridays the Chicago Food Truck Festival (or simply, Chi Food Truck Fest). It features a rotating selection of food trucks from around the city.

Representing many businesses in the food industry, food trucks offer a wide variety of food from American, Cajun, Mexican, Asian cuisines; there are tables and chairs in the shaded seating areas, where customers can enjoy the food and relax in the open air during a warm summer season.

A famous Picasso sculpture -- "The Picasso", surrounded by food trucks, these days-- stands in the center of the plaza all the year round, attracting a lot of people to take photos.

The ambiance on the plaza was very relaxed and casual, many people were just relaxing in the shade, and enjoying the views of this busy city: there's a lot of iconic buildings around the plaza -- Chicago City Council, Daley Center, Chicago Temple, also theatres, shops, and restaurants nearby.

This park is surrounded by highrises and is located just North of Millennium Park. I was walking back to my hotel and decided to take a detour through this park. The first thing that I noticed was how quiet it was. I suppose the tall buildings blocked the sounds of Lakeshore and Columbus, and effects were very peaceful.

The lawns and paths were exceptionally well maintained. The buildings surrounding the area are clean and colorful and the Radisson is especially interesting. This can be a very peaceful place in the middle of the city.

Since I was walking towards the DuSable Bridge I walked northwest in the park. To my surprise there was an intriguing staircase to get you to the main level. You can see in my picture that there is a garden in the center of a rather large circular staircase in which aesthetics was clearly on the mind of the designer.

    Overall, a very nice experience.
