Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Millian CChicago, IL2 contributionsEnjoyed the museum. A lot to see, do and explore. The only part i was not content with, is that we felt rushed during the submarine tour (that you have to pay extra for). Cool to see but everything the guide said, you could learn reading the information posted around the exhibit. Any question asked, couldn't be answered by him. Give yourself ample time to get to everything! Spent just over 4 hours there to explore everything.Written 8 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OldWulfWolverhampton, UK416 contributionsStarted on the lower level and was actually considering leaving, nothing of interest and being asked for more money to see exhibits, not a good start. Middle floor was better so joined a tour group as it was free . Good move because it just got better and better. The top floor alone is worth the entry fees, the history of the planet is shown in incredible detail and you get to see exhibits from all over the world, including a dinosaur named Sue. Four hours seems a long time to spend in a museum but you could easily spend all day and not see everything.Written 19 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tawnee CRockford, IL11 contributionsThis is a charming and quirky little museum just south of Lincoln Park. It's not very big, but the admission price is very affordable. If you have any interest in health sciences or medicine, this is a must see. I most enjoyed the different skulls in the cabinet of curiosities, but the jars of gallstones and kidney stones was also quite something to behold. Definitely recommend. You will come away having learned quite a bit about the history of medicine and the surgical sciences.Written 30 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hwattorneySt. George, UT83 contributionsThe various exhibits are interactive and come with explanations. There’s no wrong or right. Fun and educational. Nice way to spend an hour. All the studies are easy.Written 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
