Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Millennium Park in Chicago is a must-visit! The iconic Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) is even more impressive in person, reflecting the city’s skyline in a cool, surreal way. The park itself is spacious, with beautiful green areas, stunning art installations, and a great vibe. I loved walking around the Crown Fountain, watching the video projections and water spray. It’s a perfect spot to relax or snap some great photos. Definitely a highlight of Chicago!

Wonderful to walk the mile from the John Hancock building to Millennium Park to check out “The Bean”. We checked out various stores along the way and enjoyed the holiday lights. Parking was easy as we prepaid (so you save money!) at One Millennium Mile Parking at 120 E. Walton St. Super Efficient!

A lot better in real life than on pictures. Quite surprised at the size. Intersing to find out about the British designer too. Well worth stopping here for a hour.

A beautiful fountain with a backdrop of the buildings in Chicago on one side and the lake on the other. A charming area for a lunch break or to take a break and just take in the scene.

Great trip. Would do it again. Next time I would plan ahead more. I would allow more days. We decided not to take our RV trailer (29’) and glad we didn’t. Many times we wouldn’t have been able to park where we were if we were towing the RV. Be sure to purchase your RT.66 shirts early (and often) and when we wore them we met lots of other travelers, some going WB (west bound) while others were EB (east bound) and we shared much information.

After arriving on the Zephyr, my wife and I had a rough time traversing thought the subterranean maze, collecting our suitcases, and exiting to find Ubers. There's lots of construction in the abyss, and as such there's little helpful signage and direction. It was difficult for us as seasoned travelers; we did ask questions multiple times and finally found our way to street level. I was excited seeing the famous staircase filmed in the Untouchables where Kevin Costner and Andy Garcia captured the bookkeeper! Of course I couldn't resist reenacting the scene - "Got him"

The Chicago skyline is stunning. With most of the city located by the lake, take a walk there and take in absolutely spectacular views, set to what feels like Caribbean blue water.

As a huge fan of this show, this was by far one of the coolest thing to visit and see in person. Highly recommended if you are in the Chicago region. Something I'll never forget!a

We stopped at this building on our way to the train station and spent about 10 minutes in the building. The interior is indeed pretty and worth taking a look. Plus, it’s free to enter the building and talk around on the 1st floor and 2nd floor where businesses are located.

The Wrigley Building is one of Chicagos many iconic buildings. It’s in amazing condition and really unique architecture.

Docent was totally knowledgeable, gave us lots of great information about not only the architecture itself - wonderful Louis Sullivan architecture that shows a lot of empathy for the culture that would inhabit the church, but also about the style that this congregation worships in. A hidden treasure in Chicago in the wonderful neighborhood of Ukrainian Village.

A few years ago, I discovered the existence of the Klairmont Kollections, even though I’m a life-long Chicagoan (albeit living in the suburbs). I finally managed to swing by and I can’t believe what I missed all these years. What a wonderful discovery!

Granted, the site is somewhat off the beaten path, but it’s worth the trip. Over 300 vehicles spread over two floors. Practically all in pristine condition. Such a wide range of cars: “antiques”, custom, celebrity-owned, classic, iconic, quirky, etc.

I had the place practically to myself and spend almost two hours meandering throughout the aisles. Saw many of my favorites (such as Tucker, BMW Isetta, Amphicar), but also came across some unexpected specimens.

I would say that the collection stacks up favorably with other such auto museums I’ve visited, such as the Petersen in LA, Henry Ford in Dearborn and Volo in the north suburbs. Plus it’s in the area. And there’s free parking.

And I want to give a shout-out to the lady at the counter (whose name I neglected to get) and Stacy, both of who patiently answered my many questions during my visit.
