Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Millennium Park in Chicago is a must-visit! The iconic Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) is even more impressive in person, reflecting the city’s skyline in a cool, surreal way. The park itself is spacious, with beautiful green areas, stunning art installations, and a great vibe. I loved walking around the Crown Fountain, watching the video projections and water spray. It’s a perfect spot to relax or snap some great photos. Definitely a highlight of Chicago!

Wonderful to walk the mile from the John Hancock building to Millennium Park to check out “The Bean”. We checked out various stores along the way and enjoyed the holiday lights. Parking was easy as we prepaid (so you save money!) at One Millennium Mile Parking at 120 E. Walton St. Super Efficient!

Stopped in to see a Cubs game while on a baseball road trip. What an amazing stadium. We found it easy to get to using the Chicago L subway system. For such an old and iconic stadium it is unbelievably clean! Even the brick looks fresh. Every usher we met was friendly and helpful as well. We truly enjoyed the game and just the Chicago Cubs experience as well.

We had done the skydeck as well a couple of days before. The 360 has great views, just from a different point in the sky. The advantage here was being able to see in all directions.
And then you can have a go on the tilt, great fun

A lot better in real life than on pictures. Quite surprised at the size. Intersing to find out about the British designer too. Well worth stopping here for a hour.

As expected, full of tourists (like us). However, it was great fun. We popped on and off a few times as we had boat rides from here.
We also rode a couple of rides, the wheel was worth it.

The conservatory has so many variety of plants and it is so nicely maintained. We like to walk around and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and hear the waterfall. It is free to visit although a donation would help maintain the place.

Amazing that such beauty and history are free for the observer. We enjoyed our walk through the building to see the treasures.

A beautiful fountain with a backdrop of the buildings in Chicago on one side and the lake on the other. A charming area for a lunch break or to take a break and just take in the scene.

We have a suite here, so we stopped in to catch the Blackhawks – Ducks game. Our suite attendant was awesome! She made great suggestions and was very attentive! It was a breeze getting in and out. The view was decent, but these suites seem to be much better for hanging out and socializing than actually watching the game. The energy level was just ‘ok’… I’m from the DC area and used to the Caps, which are not only a very energetic team, but watching their games is such fun.

Getting in and out was easy. The only annoying part were all the shady taxi drivers all over asking if they can give a ride on the way out – the staff should do a better job keeping them away. Also, same with the homeless… a guy with his dog begging was very annoying and coincidently, I saw him the night before somewhere else downtown walking in traffic with that dog – I could careless about him, but someone needs to ensure the dog is taken care of, healthy, and kept safe from his odd actions. Oh, and keep the beggars away from the stadium too.

Overall – A great time was had!

Great trip. Would do it again. Next time I would plan ahead more. I would allow more days. We decided not to take our RV trailer (29’) and glad we didn’t. Many times we wouldn’t have been able to park where we were if we were towing the RV. Be sure to purchase your RT.66 shirts early (and often) and when we wore them we met lots of other travelers, some going WB (west bound) while others were EB (east bound) and we shared much information.

This is an excellent time to visit Cathedrals, as the summer weather often allows for more comfortable exploration and photography. A perfect time to appreciate their architectural beauty and historical significance.

After arriving on the Zephyr, my wife and I had a rough time traversing thought the subterranean maze, collecting our suitcases, and exiting to find Ubers. There's lots of construction in the abyss, and as such there's little helpful signage and direction. It was difficult for us as seasoned travelers; we did ask questions multiple times and finally found our way to street level. I was excited seeing the famous staircase filmed in the Untouchables where Kevin Costner and Andy Garcia captured the bookkeeper! Of course I couldn't resist reenacting the scene - "Got him"
