Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Worth a visit for a meal in the Walnut Room and a peek at the Tiffany ceiling. No contemporary store offers this type of classic grandeur.

Fancying a walk in a luxury department store, I entered 900 North Michigan Shops when I saw the Bloomingdale’s sign. Venturing into the beauty section I sampled the lipsticks with help from the sales associate and took advantage of the free gift offer and made a purchase. I love MAC cosmetics, especially their lipsticks so I was excited that I could indulge my weakness.
The rest of the store was just as pleasant to walk through and admire the merchandise. There were lovely displays including a flower cart where a fragrance purchase qualifies you for a lovely bouquet. I would definitely visit again if I ever needed more MAC items.

It was very busy on a Saturday, there was a DJ playing music and me and my dog visited the bar on the 2nd floor and had a glass of wine, everyone was friendly and it was a pleasant experience!

Native Chicagoans, like me, remember when State State in downtown Chicago was known as The Great Street, before there was a Magnificent Mile on the north side of the Chicago River. It was the street of Marshall Field's, the Chicago Theater, the Palmer House and Carson, Pirie, Scott and Company. Today, Carson's is known as the Sullivan Center, a 943,944-square-foot, three-building complex that houses the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and national retailer Target. Located at 1 South State Street, at the corner of East Madison Street, the structure is mostly known for its architecture. It was designed by Louis Sullivan in 1899 for a retail firm. Another famous architect, Daniel Burnham, also did work on the building. It is remarkable for its steel-framed construction, which allowed a dramatic increase in window area created by bay-wide windows, which in turn allowed for the greatest amount of daylight into the building interiors. The design was the first use of what became known as the Chicago window. At street level, the broad expanses of glass allowed for larger displays of merchandise to outside pedestrian traffic, creating the idea of the sidewalk showcase. Sullivan designed the unique corner entry to be seen from both State and Madison. The attractive ornamentation above the entrance gave the store an elegant and unique persona important to the building's competition with neighboring stores, including Marshall Field's. It was designated a Chicago Landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975.

Marshall Pierce & Company at 960 N Michigan Ave is a family owned and operated, high-end jewelry store, that has been in business over a hundred years.

The store offers a wide selection of top quality diamonds, timepieces, fine jewelry. The world famous brands presented in the store, include Cartier, Panerai, TWC , MIKIMOTO and many other brands.

My visit to the store was at the end of November, which was the beginning of the winter holiday season. I was greeted by the management and staff, had a brief introduction to the store and variety of items. The interior design of this luxury store is impressive: it looks very elegant, projecting that strong, contemporary chic.

I didn't plan to shop at this store that time, but I got a clear impression of the store and company, so I am quite sure, if one wants to buy a high-end timepiece or jewelry -- it will be a very exclusive, high quality present, carefully chosen with the personable help of professional service.

I have to add, that Marshall Pierce & Company has an excellent info on all their products and services, presented on the store website.

This is not just another Apple store, but a new architectural gem along the Chicago River. Beautiful sleek look composed mainly of state-of-the-art glass. Worth checking out!

Don't even bother trying to get into this store. They have 5000 people and one cashier. Sorry, I don't have that kind of time with my schedule. I understand the COVID restrictions, and inability to find workers, but honestly, its just a bit ridiculous.

The store was fairly large due to its location and me being use to a Target in a building buy itself. I did shop around and enjoyed the visit. It was pretty crowded due to the 2024 Lollapalooza in Chicago that week but would still return.

Such a cool shop. Winsome has so many interesting and unique styles, and a strong focus on ethical production and sustainability. The atmosphere of the store is the perfect mix of fun design and laid back relaxing feel. I love the unisex and mens clothing options too.
