Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great comedy! We saw The Devil's in the Detours and it was a lively combo of sketches. I understand they don't do this every night, but we were there on a Sunday and they added a bonus improv set which was marvelously chaotic.

No regrets on purchasing a Value ticket. We were in the back at the mainstage but it's a fairly small theatre and we could see just fine. We arrived 30 minutes early and got food and drinks before the show. The food is burgers/fries type stuff and it's solidly OK, same goes for the cocktail my date had. The craft beer was actually pretty nice.

I had no idea what to expect. I knew it was a one woman show and bingo was played at some point. It was HILARIOUS! As a Catholic school “survivor” there was so much to laugh at. All the other audience members laughed as well. I will admit there were moments I found more humor in it than others but that made it that much more enjoyable all around. I’ll be back for Late Night Catechism soon enough!

My wife and I took 15 and 10 y.o. to Io’s Comedy Sportz’s family -friendly show. (Other programs are more adult-friendly.) We loved it. Our kids loved it. It was so impressive to see these gifted actors transferring comic energy to the audience. Impossible to describe but just very funny improv. Highly recommend.

Our family attended the 8 pm Friday show of ComedySportz while on vacation in Chicago. Having never been to an improv show we didn’t know what to expect but I am so glad we decided to go. The show was very upbeat and interactive with audience members. The improv actors are entertaining and talented beyond belief. It was a great night out with our two teenagers!!

My husband and I attended the brunch improv show and it was hilarious. The comedians ask for ideas from the audience and creatively weave it into various skits. Sometimes I felt bad for the comedians based on the poor or vulgar suggestions from the audience, but they did not let anyone down. We ordered drinks and they were delivered without interruption to the show.

Went here with family on our trip to Chicago. Small, intimate theater with a rich comedic history. Stage is small which would be difficult for a physical comic, but the crowd is very close, so good vantage points for patrons. Having been to a lot of comedy shows, I appreciate the close proximity to the performers. A great place to discover up and coming talent. The venue would maybe benefit from expanding in size if possible just to accompany more people, thus a little more space. Then again as long as the comedians stay funny, laughter can cure all!

Service was excellent - Samantha was great - last comedian should have been hooked off the stage but all the openers were brilliant!
Will return (so long as it’s a different headliner)

Went to see Flame Monroe. She alongside the host were funny but the opener wasn’t. As a venue it was quite comfortable but there was a minimum of two drinks and the drinks were expensive so be prepared for that.

When in Chicago, go see improv at the Annoyance theatre or at IO Chicago. The Annoyance theatre tends to break the rules with their improv. I came on a Saturday night and saw House and Brew. They are one of their house improv teams. It was good not as good as I had expected though having seen many of their other shows. I also stuck around for their Burlesque show at 10:30. It was a very good sketch show and yes they end up going topless. The character work was great.

Been going here for years, it's an awesome comedy club! The Saturday night lineup is STACKED! The performers are next level and the vibes are great. I'm a fan of a beer wall that lets me get refills whenever I want!

I can't believe I didn't know about this show until now! The players are talented, funny, and creative-- tons of unexpected moments.. Our show was called Barb's 70th Birthday and they took it to a weird and hilarious place. We actually went home humming some of the songs! I can't wait to go again.

Excellent independent comedy club. Whether you’re local to Logan or visiting Chicago, it’s worth the visit. Approachable prices, no drink minimums and both visits had good talent.

Went to see Esme starship ( parody after star track) totally hillarious budget play in a small venue.
The place is so quirky and amazingly decorated on bar area.
As it is alls on you tube got to see part 1.
We loved it despite being so tired after travelling and visiting Chicago all day before show

R-rated brutal comedy battles joke for joke, the same great show that's online but live. This was one of the first comedy shows I attended free of covid regulations and it was well worth it.
