- Eve M2 contributionsWent with two friends to see Sound of Music but something went wrong and we wound up seeing Newsies instead. Not sure how it happened nor was it a big deal because the crew was extremely talented and captured our interest & held it for the entire show. Most of the performers I fully expect to see in theater & movies in the future as their talent was stunning & obvious to all that attended. They had a food truck, ice cream stand, ample porta potties, and a gift shop & ticket sales and all the staff were exceptionally kind. My disappointments were the sound system (as sometimes the mics cut out and you could not hear what the perforner was saying) & that the last show of Sound of Music is SOLD OUT 😠and won't come around again for 3 to 5 years 😱 I do recommend bringing warm jackets, gloves, and warm blankets cuz it gets really cold after intermission. It was super hot (95 F) and we could not use the covered pavilion with the picnic tables to sit down and cool off because it had been rented out for a private party. We were told it was OFF LIMiTS! We've vacationed in Garden Valley for many years and don't ever remember private rentals at he park. - RoseLavallette, NJ26 contributionsWhether you’ve been rafting on the Payette or building your cabin on top of the mountain, this is the perfect spot to be yourself and enjoy some decent food and drink. The inside is a typical bar/restaurant, but the highlight is the covered “patio “ area, which is large and comfortable. Burgers are decent, tots are super and pizza is the best in the area (according to a friend). Good condition and ran great.
Highly recommended!!! Beautiful area with plenty to see.

IT IS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE TO SEE THE ELK AND THE SNOW , IT WAS FUN TO FEED THE ELK AND SEE THEM IN THE WILD. i= I SAW SOME NEWBORN BABIES AND A COUPLE OF BUCKS. DON'T MIIS THIS ADVENTURE AND MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR KIDS, THEY WILL LOVE. - Veronica C2 contributionsOur group of three took the half-day trip down staircase and had an absolute blast. Everyone is professional but so much fun. We loved our raft guide AJ. - LoveTravel2609824 contributionsBooked a pack in deer hunt, paid 10 months in advance, outfitter forgot to get our tags, we were out. Had to find something in a month. Needless to say, we paid a lot for a crap hunt. Outfitter agreed to give us a discounted hunt in the future, in writing, now I am told he will not honor it.
