Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My experience at the Temple Terrace Public Library was disgraceful.

I showed up to this library on Saturday morning, promptly at opening, with the intention of using my laptop computer to attend a virtual meeting for school. I do not reside in Temple Terrace, and therefore I had no other means of acquiring Wifi nor a safe place to attend my school meeting. Thus I figured that the public library would be an excellent place to safely and respectfully finish my work — yet this simple assumption that Temple Terrace Public Library would be a wonderful resource to use could not have been farther from the truth.

Upon arriving at the library, I was informed by staff that "the only place to sit would be at the desks that have computers". I walked inside to find that nearly every table had been stacked on top of one another, nearly every seat wrapped with "do not sit" tape, and nearly every inch of space in the library left wide open. As I walked to the section that had multiple computers, I sat down with my laptop at a desk that contained a computer and I began my work.

Quickly, a library worker walked up to me and said "will you be using ‘our’ computers?" I informed her that I would not be using the library computer, yet I needed to sit at a desk to complete my assignment for school. She said "if you are not using one of our computers, you cannot sit here and you must leave.” I promptly informed her that I have my own computer with me, that I am required to use a webcam to attend my school meeting (the library computers do not have webcams), and that all of the remaining computers at the library were not being used — indicating that there was a multitude of empty computers available for other patrons to use.

To make matters worse, there was not a single other patron inside the library besides myself, and a vast multitude of citizens could have used the other computers present at the library before needing the computer/desk that I personally was sitting at. The library worker informed me that "these policies are in place because of Covid". I respectfully rebutted that I am fully vaccinated, that I am wearing a mask, and that I only need this seat for a brief period of time.

What was the librarian’s solution to my simple request to have a seat at the desk inside a public library to do my school work? She told me that "I could work outside the building on a park bench where I might be able to get Wifi.”

I was forced to complete my assignment on the park bench while having insects crawl on my clothes, the sun glare in my eyes, and while being interrupted by a random solicitor outside.

Temple Terrace Public Library, as it is currently being run, is a disgrace in the highest regard.

This predicament highlights the vast lack of common sense among the staff whom I interacted with and a glaring ineptitude in library policy. There is no excuse that can be made for how harshly I was treated. Any attempt to equivocate such thoughtless policy under the guise of Covid restrictions shall truly be shameful, as the current policies put in place do nothing to promote community health nor the wellbeing and safety of students like myself.

If you have any intention of completing work, I recommend going elsewhere.

The Ballroom and lounge is fresh and inviting. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is delicious. There are several TV's on for sports. The staff is friendly and attentive. Also the pool bar is great to take a swim, watch sports on TV, have a bite to eat and a dip in the pool or hot tub!

This virtual playground is teeming with personality, despite only being about 1000ft squared. It's full of snacks and drinks to keep you energized while cooperating or competing in the best games on PC. Also has Mario Kart and other great multiplayer games.

I played here last year. In fact, I may make it a regular place to work on my Par 3's. Yet, the condition of the course wasn't that great. A few days ago I went to the range. I was amazed the bucket of balls were more expensive than some of the great courses that I play at. I have attached a couple of pictures to show how the range looks at the moment.

The sandwiches are okay but the restaurant is rather dimly lit & loud. There are so many better sports bars & restaurants in the area that you could select, this is not your best.
