Tripadvisorās approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Edmund PHouston, TX643 contributionsWhile staying in the McAlpin.. a historic hotel on ocean blvd we decided to join the walking tour via the art deco welcome center. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide and approximately 30 people along for the tour. We were given headphones and a receiver with 50 ft range. We walked around a 3 block area and visited many buildings of note while our tour guide walked us through the decades and how the evolution of the design aesthetics came aboutā¦ highly recommended. It was a very interesting tour of about 90 minutes. I never would have thought to go to the Miami Beach post office to see a great example of art deco architecture.Written 2 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheExplorerFamilySomerset, NJ6,451 contributionsWe love to visit places such as these because usually there is an actual knowledgeable person working there who can answer any questions you may have, plus tell you about the surrounding area that you are trying to explore.
When we entered this particular Visitor Center, that was a few blocks away from our hotel on 17th street, we were welcomed very pleasantly, and were given a lot of information and details about various tours, Including the Duck Tour, -- where they start, how to get there, etc. The lady who was there (unfortunately, we did not get her name) was wonderful. She also informed us about the Trolley system in the city, the routes, the stops and the timings. All that information was particularly useful for us tourists.
The place was neat, tidy and organized, and we left with a lot of maps and brochures, plus booked the Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus Tour while we were there. We are still kind of āOld Schoolā. We like to study actual maps of the area, and walk around confidently, just like a local, knowing where we want to go. Certainly beats walking around in a daze staring at Google Maps on the cell phone trying to figure stuff out on our own. We were able to make the most out of our vacation because of this place. Wished we had found it a few days earlier.
They even have a pretty Blue Metal Flamingo displayed there ā a remnant of an art exhibit in the city from the previous year. Recommend a stop if you are in the area.Written 11 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
