So much to see and learn about sea turtles. The tour starts with a video about the hospital and basic information about the different turtles. The guides will also do a small presentation before they take you out to the tanks. They start with the hospital part of the tour, it is a brief walkthrough. The exam/procedure rooms are roped off so you can only see in them.
Once outside, they will lead you around the tanks to show you all of the turtles on site. All of the turtles have their names written on their shells. The staff will talk about the different reasons that the turtles are there for. They also discuss different pathologies and injuries that occur in the ocean. They also talk about their ambassador program (Which you can donate money to help fund)

At the end of the tour, you go into the gift shop and there you can buy souvenirs, donate and or adopt the turtles (which we did all of that) All of the money helps fund and support their efforts in caring for these animals. Most of them are nursed back to health and set back into the wild.

This beach is the best in the Keys! There are plenty of facilities, easy parking, not busy at all and fabulous for families. Go to the very end of the street and park at the end by the roundabout. The beach by the small pier is the best part; it’s completely peaceful, not busy and partly shaded thanks to the palm trees. You can sit for ages in the water there and just chill; it’s got a wonderful tropical vibe. We always went there on during “off hours” (mid-week before noontime and/or late afternoon), so everything was relatively quiet and empty.

This island is a must visit when in the Marathon area or in the keys in general. Located right next to the 7-mile bridge makes it easy to find. The history of Florida is told in one visit. Chris was very knowledgeable, and you can tell his true love for the area. Walking, you can see different birds and fish. Feeding the sharks was amazing. I highly recommend taking the train over. It's about a 2-mile walk from the parking lot. You can swim and fish off the island also.

History, weather, Florida Keys, tropical life.. everything wrapped up into this bridge!

When you're driving down to key west, if you don't take time to really appreciate this bridge while you're driving, and appreciate the remnants of the old bridge next to it, you're missing out.

Do your homework and read up on it online, or even better, stop at a local restaurant or bar, spend some money there and help the local economy and enjoy the local seafood, and learn about the 7 Mile bridge, you won't be disappointed!

5 out of 5! We came here ad part of our company retreat. The museum was closed for repair but the kayaking was wonderful. The fish pedicure was a fine experience too! I enjoyed the hiking through the trails the trail can be bumpy so keep that in mind. It can get hot but there is plenty of shade and benches to rest.

Captain Patrick and 1st Mate Cody were awesome! Very knowledgeable and fun. Snorkeling was great, water was a little choppy, but didn’t ruin anything. Reef was one of the prettier reef’s I’ve snorkeled. Would highly recommend, especially for couples.

A good stopping point if you need to stretch your legs before the last push to Key West (can also make a destination of it and walk/cycle over a couple of miles of the old bridge).

Has a small car park, some info boards on the bridge and local wildlife and a short walk down to the water.

We were surprised to find that this state park is not renting kayaks. You need to bring your own or use an outside provider.

The beach is very small, but we enjoyed walking in the shallow water and seeing the hermit crabs,

We went to see the Christmas lights and they did not disappoint. The lights are gorgeous and you walk through the church garden with the statues that are all beautifully decorated. We went twice while we were in town.

We just visited the Marathon Visitor Center and had a delightful time. Debby Peterson was full of information that will make our stay in Marathon, Florida that much better. We not only got lots of brochures but valuable insight from someone that had lived her for 30 years. She took the time to mark the various locations on a map to help us plan our stay. Fantastic experience!
