Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful, walkable area along a canal-type waterway, they call a river. Boats, etc float in it. There are many large buildings/mixed-use along it, as well and lots of shops and restaurants. It lights up beautifully at night and is all walkable. While this area might have a lot of homeless and not be very appealing, the nights we were out on this walk, it was nice and we didn’t see much vagrancy. It can be touristy, but it’s worth visiting.

The historical society is comprised of a few buildings, although only one is open to the public. It contains a film about the history of the area as well as a few comprehensive exhibits. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly. Recommended for history buffs such as myself.

It was very interesting to learn about this place. Bonnet House is so different. Our tourguide did a great job. We especially loved seeing the Dade pine.

Unknowingly arrived during Spring Break. Beach was very busy, however police presence was abundant. I did not feel unsafe at any time.

Water taxi was very informative and had a great time getting off and eating/drinking.
My wife and I also went parasailing, with So Flo parasailing. They were great!
Favorite place to eat while we were there was Coconuts! Fantastic food! Rocco’s Tacos was very good also!

Just visited with our 4 year old. He loved the new Thomas exhibit and the discovery play area. My only criticism is that there isn't much seating for adults and some of the exhibits are a bit dated but I was expecting that. Overall we had a great time.

We took the walk on a Friday about mid day in August. There are lots of yachts to see parked along the water's edge, with several drawbridges. There are few restaurants along the route with several a short distance away. There are free water taxis that can pick you up at select spots and bring you to other locations. The total distance end-to-end is less than a mile. A nice way to spend a couple hours, and do take the taxi for nice ride on the water.

It certainly helped that we were the only ship in port this day, so no traffic and no crowds. The terminal was functional and the staff were nice. We were on board in 30 minutes. And there are some nice Florida views from the ship.

Pretty Beach, but parking was horrible. We got a $25 ticket because we didn't see a sign that was hidden by a truck. We even asked the attendant if it was OK to park there and he said sure. Boy, we were so mad when we saw the ticket. I think it was a scam.

Galleria is a nice mall and it is not so big. There are a lot of shops. Parking is easy.
We bought some stuff at Macy's. We could see only limited discounts in here.

We never saw one that looked like this picture - they all looked like regular city buses. It sounds like Sun Trolley has been taken over by the city now. The good news is it is all FREE. There are several routes, but the two most important for tourists are the one that goes up and down AIA (40) and the one that goes to Las Olas and AIA (11). They come about every 35-45 minutes so if you miss it there is a wait, but you can just keep walking to the next stop in the meantime because the stops aren't that far apart. The best way to find the stops is to use google maps and choose the "bus" icon instead of car or walking....the apps and maps the city advertises weren't helpful.

Went for an early dinner around 5:30pm, wait staff was fine, no issues at all, very pleasant. Food was Meh, Salmon was dry, pan seared, no garish. Coconut shrimp was excellent. Crab cakes were good, ceasar side was tiny. I guess the view was the best part overlooking the intracoastal. I doubt if we return because of the mediocre food though. Prices were somewhat high IMO for what they serve.
