Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- stellabrieSaratoga Springs, NY12 contributionsIncredible collection of art and artifacts ranging from ancient Greece to contemporary artists— and the building itself is gorgeous. - Missgege2Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean Region, Canada54 contributionsWe took the visit with the university and it was such a good idea, we were speachless about the beauty of this university, library, park etc.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GoAlong2Seattle, WA893 contributionsWe went to the park expecting to drive to the viewpoint however we found that the road is closed to cars during the winter. So we walked the road about 20 minutes to the top up gentle curves. The views of the city and the water are very good. At the top is a memorial to soldiers and sailors from the area who died in various wars. It was a chilly day, but a nice walk.Written 9 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HughSouth Ozone Park, NY1,400 contributionsI have long heard to this museum and finally resolved to visit and glad I did. This is a comprehensive collection of British art , beautifully displayed. The building itself is a treasure by Louis KahnWritten 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ReviewGuyNoVINovi, MI2,405 contributionsThe park is a gem of a location and very close to the highway and only minutes from New Haven. We were in town for an event at Yale Uni and decided to come here. Upon pulling into the park entrance there are signs asking for $25 cash only payment for parking and entrance. CT residents pay less...
The park has some sandy beach areas but most is rocky with shallow water. Water was fairly cold for a 95 degree day in CT summer. I was not prepared for swimming but did go into to check out the water temp.
There is a canteen to buy snacks, lunch, and drinks at a higher than expected price. Best if you bring your own picnic and food so you can enjoy all day with your own chairs/canopy.
Lighthouse has great potential for photographers and wedding are happening here’s every weekend. I recommend bringing lots of water and food and staying at least for few hours!Written 25 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andres72423Bridgeport, CT4,776 contributionsA really nice small theater in the downtown area of New Haven. The theater puts on some great Broadway shows. We had the opportunity to see a Christmas Carol and it was excellent. There is no bad seat in the house. The seats were very comfortable and you have plenty of leg room between you and the row ahead of you. The staff was very helpful in finding your seats and they have two concession stands making it easy to get snacks and refreshments during intermission.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Grant BMiddletown, CT229 contributionsMy friend love going to the Long Wharf Theater. The cost of the tickets are reasonable . We sure enjoy see a Play here. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Easy parking and No charge. We are looking forward a play soon for us.Written 5 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heather CConnecticut44 contributionsFor a standing room general admission concert I loved how there were tiered levels so that you had a really good view no matter where you were and appreciated the railings to lean on. The bar was well stocked and worked quickly. Bathrooms were clean. When it says doors open at 8 that means the doors to the building, not just into the performance space, so if it is raining prepare to be waiting outside in the rain in line.Written 1 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Theresa P31 contributionsI wanted to see a beach on our 2 day visit to New Haven and this fit the bill. The lighthouse itself is not that impressive, but the beach was really pleasant and we spent an hour, shelling there - very peaceful.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alisha MKillingworth, CT1 contributionThe Game Show was perfect for my son and his teenage friends. They really enjoyed the puzzles and twists! - dustythoughtsManchester, CT2,165 contributionsI've been here a few times with friends, and have been impressed each time with the quality of the experience. The ticket machines are well-maintained (there are a lot of theatres where these machines are always broken), seats are comfortable, prices are reasonable for a Connecticut movie theatre, and the entire experience is welcoming and intimate. For all that this theatre is pretty centrally located in New Haven, it never seems to be too busy, but it's not rundown or shabby.Written 21 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex A1 contributionI have been on many Taste of New Haven food tours and was equally impressed with their Pasta Tour! The tour was relaxing, informative, and delicious! I purchased these tickets for my family as a gift and everyone has an amazing time! I highly recommend this tour if you are a pasta lover. From the Cacio e Pepe to the Tiramisu, this tour was phenomenal!Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TaylorJohnsonMillledgeville Ga1 contributionMy fiancé just moved to the area a few months ago. When we found out there was a ghost tour, we became super excited. We loved the tour so much. It was interesting to find out the history and stories about the city we live in now. Not to mention we are big history lovers, so if you are as well for sure do this tour.Written 9 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
