Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park is a gem of a location and very close to the highway and only minutes from New Haven. We were in town for an event at Yale Uni and decided to come here. Upon pulling into the park entrance there are signs asking for $25 cash only payment for parking and entrance. CT residents pay less...

The park has some sandy beach areas but most is rocky with shallow water. Water was fairly cold for a 95 degree day in CT summer. I was not prepared for swimming but did go into to check out the water temp.

There is a canteen to buy snacks, lunch, and drinks at a higher than expected price. Best if you bring your own picnic and food so you can enjoy all day with your own chairs/canopy.

Lighthouse has great potential for photographers and wedding are happening here’s every weekend. I recommend bringing lots of water and food and staying at least for few hours!

the streets in this area were clean and really did seem safe. We were there when school was most likely finished since we didn't see too many college students. Stores were not that interesting.

I wanted to see a beach on our 2 day visit to New Haven and this fit the bill. The lighthouse itself is not that impressive, but the beach was really pleasant and we spent an hour, shelling there - very peaceful.

The New Haven Green is a nice spot downtown to grab some fresh air and/or people watch. More than that, though, the Green has an interesting role in the city's history going back to the original city layout and up to the present day.

we were staying right opposite the park across the highway..twice we went for an early morning walk.....one of the path was under repairs at that time the other path which is little muddy was open....the vies it offered were really awesome.....the rising sun with its golden rays reflecting on the sea was a sight to hold....we didnt see many people walking around.....it was beautiful but i feel that it can be missed though....shouldnt be in the must see itinerary...

Dickens once called this the most beautiful street in America. It's a quiet, 2-block long street lines with lovely old trees and magnificent 19th century mansions, and is worth a visit if you're visiting the Yale campus.

This is an old bar, it seems like it hasn't been modernized, but there is a lot of room and booze. I wish they would add some more tables because you have to steal someone's chair when they get up in order to get a chair. Other than that, I had a good time listening to the music.
