I have been to the Denver Botanic Gardens for their holiday light show, for the spring blooming period, and for fall/Halloween events. This was my first visit during the summer months. This set of gardens is beautiful during every season.

There are so many beautiful things to see here...flowers, wildlife, art, and water sights. It is maintained and staffed by caring people that make a visit here exceptional.

There are many places to sit if you have someone in your party with mobility issues. The is a wonderful cafe in the middle of this site that provides an excellent place to rest/reflect.

A wonderful venue to watch a game. So pretty great food options and a gorgeous field with amazing views. Rockpile seats are awesome and all of the vantage points are top notch. I would recommend this to friends. The ushers are wonderful.

It's a great spot to have drinks and people watch. I went for drinks and appetizers before dinner. I stayed at hotel down the street but I should have just booked there since we went everyday to hang out.

Coming from Cleveland with one of the top art museums in the USA, I was very pleasantly impressed by the collection at the DAM.
In particular, the contemporary art collection was huge and interesting. Lots of good signage--all in English and Spanish. I also liked the Ponti exhibitions. There was too much to see in one day, but I did make a special visit to the Latin American art section and found it to be quite good--pre-Columbian to the present.
Great way to spend some time in Denver.
Only downside is that the museum is pricey for entrance.

Interesting home of Molly Brown, survivor of Titantic shipwreck & early pioneer for Women's suffrage. Interesting look at women's movement in early 1900s.

We visited the zoo on a snowy day, which meant some animals were not viewable, but others were even more visible than I'd normally expect. Due to recent snowfall, about half of the zoo was closed off (I think the walkways were unsafe). But, the cooler temperatures meant a lot of the animals were active. Some, like the elephants and giraffes, were in their indoor area, but we were able to get right up close to them in that area (giraffes are tall!). And others like the penguins were out enjoying the cool weather. I was especially excited by their tiger area, which was large. The tigers were moving around instead of napping in the (non-existent) heat of the day. It was great to see them walking around near us and spending time outdoors. I'd love to go back and visit on another day to see the parts of the zoo that weren't available, but we enjoyed our visit.

The distillery tour was very informative and fun! I work at a distillery on the east coast and Travis did a great job on the tour and tastings. He explained the process very well and the distillery was very clean. After the tour be sure to visit the cocktail bar, the brownie infused bottle they use for the espresso Martin left us wishing we could take it home. The barrel proof old fashioned was spot on too!

We were in Denver over the holidays, and decided to go check out the aquarium.

There are many fine exhibits, with many different kinds of fish, sea life, and a few animals such as the tiger. The tiger really seemed out of place, but the fish were great. Navigation through the exhibit is easy, but I would have liked to have seen more descriptive titles. Only some of the aquariums had fish and wildlife IDs, but there was no descriptions of the lives or origins of the animals.

The prices it was in line with what I expected.

We spent probably more time than most folks because I was taking photos of the various exhibits, but we were there approximately 2 hours.

Since it was over the holidays, it was very crowded. All the kids seem to be really enjoying themselves.

We did not try the restaurant.

For us, it was a good outing.

Have not been here in 5 years. Its a long street thats pedestrian and (used to be?) bus only. Here's whats changed. Lots of construction that has sections closed. However, the re-opened sections are very nice and (appear to be) bus free now. Many businesses have moved on but the area seems MUCH nicer (less drugs and homeless) than just 5 years prior. YMMV.

I think it should be $30, $40 not $50, however was worth the trip. Some impressive artwork. Poignant, has a very creepy & dark apocalyptic feel which I appreciated, but due to this, at least one upbeat positive room would have been appreciated.

Think kids may be a but freaked out once they are out of toddlerdom. I'd say 4-9yr olds may find it a bit too much, depending on the personality of the kid. Mine would be fine, but the kid I used to nanny for would have asked to leave instantly.

It desperately needs a 'this way now, that way now' signage system route, which also dropped it a point. It's soooo easy to miss stuff. Lifts are not neurodiverse friendly & (never worked either), it's not just floor one ; it's 1R, 1B, 1&%#£^ , LIKE WTF?🤣🤷‍♀️

Although all gift stores in the US are, as a Brit, LAUGHABLY expensive (eg, cheap Colorado teddys made in China, the same that sold in London & emblazoned with our city would cost you MAX £10 $12, for $25.99 🤷‍♀️🤣🤷‍♀️🤣🤷‍♀️🤣 WTF America??? & it's the same in EVERY state & city)--
-BUT this one takes the biscuit as we say, or rather the absolute piss & is just pure greed. Jumpers for $69, a crappy kids plastic banana shaped coin purse for $26.99 plus tax. 🤷‍♀️🤣what.the.ACTUAL.F*CK?? I was appalled. Just because you CAN charge something, it doesn't mean you have to bleed tourists dry just because you. If you bought anything here? - shame on you for perpetuating their greed.

That being said, coffee shop sold great value, gorgeous tasting coffee & decent quality tote bags for $3.50, so head there for a souvenir that won't prevent you booking your 2026 trip.

Staff super friendly from start with the security & then ticketing team, to finish, especially the lass working in the cafe when the superbowl was on.

TIP: I went during superbowl & benefitted from it's being so quiet. Pick a day with a big game on or bad weather, or go super early or late on a week day.

    ❤️
