Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in the Paso Robles winery area of California's Central Coast this winery offers a fun place to visit, taste quality wines, learn about the wines and have an enjoyable time either inside or outside.
The wines are of very good quality and the tastings are generous.

Absolutely stunning sculpture garden. They have live music on the weekends. The tasting room is phenomenal. The wind and the service were perfection.

Great place if you like learning about our country's history. Tons of interesting things to see here in addition to all the vintage and more modern airplanes and military hardware. The docents are wonderful. It is just a mile or two off Hwy. 46 East and well worth the trip. I look forward to my next trip to Paso Robles just to see what additions have been made, because they are always improving the place.

this was our second stay with Opolo and as with the first it was excellent. The suite was clean and provided wine and food plates every afternoon. The am breakfast was a great start to our wine tasting day. The vineyard is beautiful and everyone we interacted with on property were very professional and nice. We will always choose to stay here on our visits.

    J. Lohr was our first and favorite tasting in Paso. We were lucky to get Geraldine as our wine educator and she took the tasting to the next level. Not only was the wine delicious, but we also learned so much about the vineyard and the history of J. Lohr. I highly recommend making this a stop, and ask for Geraldine!

Fantastic art gallery. Amazing variety. Beautiful colors. Prices ranging from reasonable to darn expensive. Stumbled onto this place, and glad I did.

We loved Castoro! January is off season for the area and we had the place to ourselves for almost 90 minutes. Amy, our host was awesome, she was knowledgeable about the wines and had a good sense of when to hang with us and when to leave us alone. The grounds were beautiful and I can imagine in better weather, the disc golf and music would add to the experience. Primarily reds but to my delight, there was a very tasty Sauv Blanc and a couple of white blends that were delicious. Many Italian grape varietals blended in different combinations...interesting. When you're going to PR and have to decide from the myriad of wineries, I'd suggest you try Castoro, especially if you aren't going at peak season and you can get Amy as your host.

More of a local attraction than the nearby better known Firestone Brewery, and perhaps all the better for it.

Indoor, outdoor and shaded seating, plentiful free parking.

Great food available, including a number of tri-tip options.

    Recommended.

Enjoyed seeing this amazing collection of local pioneers inside the museum building. A big plus is the collection of vintage farm tractors in the garage. Wonderful photo opportunities of the vintage school house and vintage jail house.

Wonderful experience. Gina took great care of us with a nine wine tasting. All reds and they were super tasty. :Loved the Cab Reserve and the ZinAgain. Also met Jake, their wine-maker (son of the owner. AKA SOB - Son of Bob). He explained how he creates such wonderful red blends. A joy chatting with him.

I've visited 3 - 4 times, always bringing new people with me. For the size, quality of the collection and the price of admission, it's a "must see" while you're anywhere near Paso, and that means Morro Bay, SLO, Pismo, Lake Nacimiento, etc. If you choose to skip the air museum, expect to spend 45 minutes to 1.5 hours with the cars, unless you've got a car nut with you.

Wonderful, small family winery, one of the very first in the Paso Area. Full of history and family pride. Had visited before and met the owners but enjoyed meeting them once again and hearing stories and seeing family photos of how they came from Italy and eventually started wine making. Don't expect the showcase glamor of many of the big wineries in Paso. This is a family winery that makes exceptional Sangiovese, Barbera, Cabernets and several others wines with a Super Tuscan style. It's
like being family in Italy but just off route 46!

I am a huge fan of Stella Rosa so when I found out I could get tastings at their winery, I was ecstatic.

I got the ‘Sweet as Spring’ ($22) semi sweet wines. This tasting flight when up $2 from $20 because they are now served in glass not plastic cups. The flavors are Lemon lime, Orange fusion, Golden honey peach, and Royals.

My mom does not drink but while I was away to the restroom, she took a sip of each. I came back and she asked for a cup of ice so that she could pour the lemon lime wine in to drink. That was shocking. Đít time in history.

Lemon line taste like uncarbonated sprite. They all taste like it sounds. It was hot so we sat inside but outside was very nice with live music.

For food we got Filet mignon stir fry ($23)
and Combination pizza ($19). Both were excellent choices. The filet was so tender and the sauce was to die for. It had a lot of pepper and some jalapeños on which gave a tiny peppery kick. The thin crust pizza had pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers.

The retail shop had all the Stella Rosa wine flavors that you normally can’t find in stores. They sell all kinds of gift and kitchen items. Will definitely check out other locations.
