Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Milocat007Santa Cruz, CA333 contributionsCasual with knowledgeable, and friendly, attentive service. Plenty of shade outdoors. Tasting $20 waived with purchase. Very nice selection of mostly red wines. Most but not all fruit is sourced from local growers. We liked the quality of the wines enough to join the club.Written 3 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pioneer1775178787010 contributionsBeautiful peaceful grounds. Exceeded expectations. Nataly our host was amazing. So personable and knowledgeable. We did the sparkling tasting. Bought 4 bottles. Unfortunately when we checked out Shay helped us and she put the wrong bottles in our bag. Did not know until we got home. That was disappointing. Check your purchase before you leave. Otherwise everything was great. So many twists on sparkling wine to explore.Written 30 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - My name is JeffVentura, California225 contributionsWe visited Gary Kramer Guitar Cellars in September for a private engagement and were blown away by how cool the tasting room is and that Gary Kramer was there too. Mr. Kramer was very humble and down to earth. I wish I could listen to more of his stories about the guitars and the artists. The wines were great, the staff was fantastic and the atmosphere is amazing. If you like music and wine, go to Gary Kramer Guitar Cellars. Mr. Kramer gave me a tour of the back concert area which I can only imagine will have some amazing musicians at very soon. Unfortunately for us, the intimate venue was not finished and the stage looks as though it had just finished being built. We will definitely go back and hopefully to watch some live music too.Written 23 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OceanGoSharkSan Jose, CA39 contributionsWonderful experience... Larry and Kitty really know their wines, and make great recommendations based on your own taste profile. And they're a lot of fun... great story telling!
We've found some of the best retail prices you can find anywhere. We visited both nights we were in town recently for my birthday... and make a point to go to their sister locations in SLO and Pismo.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our drinks tasted amazing! He is just such great energy to be around. He was very personable and I couldn’t recommend a better bartender. Also easy the best espresso martinis.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ted KWalnut Creek, CA122 contributionsThe Pony Club is just a very calming place. Not very big, only seats maybe 20 people 25 in a pinch. We sat at the bar, which is very cool nickel and the bar stools were very comfortable - how often can you say that? Even though it is a newer building and establishment it feels like a a classic place already. The attached Hotel Coeval is very picturesque and intimate feeling.
Our service was fantastic. Friendly and talkative bar tenders. The happy hour red wine was surprisingly good. And the happy hour cheese plate should be considered mandatory so just order it.
We ended up having dinner too. Not at the level of the service and atmosphere but OK. I had the burger and my wife had the tomato salad. It’s not really tomato season so that was part of the issue with her salad.
But overall, just a really relaxing and enjoyable experience.Written 2 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Popular place with nice spaces including a rooftop area to walk around and a moat around castle like building.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Urbanomad88859 contributionsOne of my favorite wineries and tasting rooms. It is always lively (although, less so at the moment as they are being very diligent about ensuring a safe experience for their guests during COVID and limiting the number of people who can do a tasting). The team is always fun, knowledgeable and welcoming. I love practically all their wines and am a member of their wine club.Written 15 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan RMilford, MI12 contributionsA wonderful wine bar and retail shop in downtown Paso Robles. An extremely well curated wine list, featuring unique wines both local and from around the world. The staff and owner are quite knowledgeable and eager to answer questions and generally discuss all things vino! They are also friendly and down to earth human beings who are passionate about what they do.Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - leenamereneLos Angeles, CA3 contributionsMy sisters & I enjoyed a few days in Paso Robles, experiencing wine tastings at three vineyards, including LXV. Without question, the best experience we had was at LXV. From the warmth of the staff in tasting room downtown, the welcome card at our table, the cleanliness of the glasses, information shared by Melanie who served us, and the delicious wines we tasted...we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We purchased more wines at LXV than we did in the other wineries. We look forward to meeting Kunal and Neeta one day!Written 27 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bianka P1 contributionThis place is a hidden gem. The location is a bit off the beaten path, however the wines are some of the best in the region. Everything we tasted was beautifully crafted with attention to details. The food parings are curated by the winemaker and are truly magnificent. Place is always welcoming and a fun experience over all.Written 10 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PeaceINdancePaso Robles, CA132 contributionsI love the ambiance that Dan and Bow created. I love their pinot and their amazing ice wines. So great with Thai food and anything with spice! What I appreciated about this wine bar - it is un-assuming, approachable, and the owners are simply generous and hospitable. Their wines are pricey but they are great - they have small production but the love and care of their wines is embodied in their work and wines. I highly recommend the wines and just chatting with two beautiful people.Written 20 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
