Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Thomas B14 contributionsIt a nice building with a great view. I also saw the astronomy show which was great and you definitely should do.
It’s a shame that the employees were such donuts tho. Rude, unhelpful and making organisation such as lines more difficult then if they weren’t there at all.
It was also very busy. People everywhere including the grass out the front. I went for sunset so not exactly a surprise tho.
I would also highly recommended the hike up. It’s steep but not that long ~20-30 minutes.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherra HBakersfield, CA23 contributionsThis was my second trip here...the first one was 5 years ago. I always pay for the behind the scenes tour. It's worth it to find out more tidbits. We really enjoyed the experience. The parking is also free when doing it this way. The food is also good at their Cafe there. Great service.Written 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- runner24Orlando, FL2,084 contributionsAlthough we didnt have a lot of time and it was late in the afternoon, we popped in for a visit as I always wanted to see the grounds. It was too late for the museum but I enjoyed walking the grounds and viewing the various pits with various explainations posted on signage in various locations. It was an interesting walk.Written 5 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melissa A1 contributionWe attended a History Tour for a field trip on October 30th 2024. Our high school students were very involved and interested in with tour and the information shared by the tour guide. For an additional cost, lunch was provided. Our students were able to eat the sandwiches in the cafeteria portion of the ship, this experience was the perfect ending to the tour!Written 3 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurent MSan Jose, CA4 contributionsLACMA is a fantastic place to enjoy a wide range of art and take some amazing photos. The outdoor Urban Light sculpture is iconic, and there are so many interesting exhibits inside. The museum is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to explore. - Lena KFullerton, CA1,002 contributionsMy g'daughter studied Leonardo daVinci in 4th grade, so we took this opportunity to go to California Science Center's daVinci exhibit. His accomplishments are many and most people know of them. What makes this exhibit spectacular are several of daVinci's drawings of inventions are HERE! Italian artisans created them!Written 11 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NorthStar19925827217Ann Arbor, MI2 contributionsThe Broad is a fun modern art museum. I had a great time visiting this museum many times on my trip. If you are looking to do a budget on doing a solo travel to LA you should do the Broad museum because it is free to get into. The only thing that can be expensive is the special exhibits that they do. The Broad is very friendly at letting people take photos including videos and the staff are very helpful at taking photos of you with some the modern art. I spent about an hour walking around learning about the modern artist including the paintings. In order to visit it you have to visit The Broad website to get a reservation ticket. Sometimes the website would have glitches so the best thing that I can do is restart the website. Also to mention is that when you reserve your ticket online you would get a ticket confirmation to your email. It can get crowded many times which can sometime be overwhelming with crowds, however the best thing that I did was go early in the day to give myself extra time to explore. Before visiting the museum you should bring a printed copy of the ticket reservation, a water bottle, camera or iPhone to take video including photos, and a brick charger.Written 3 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NeilOrange County, CA13 contributionsI have visited this Museum many times years ago but either with pops, on my own or with friends, so now that I have a small family, it was nice to see the kids reaction especially because it was their first time here at this Museum, it was a tad annoying as the main entrance was fenced (maybe for renovation, addition or whatevs) being a fan of Architecture, I really wanted them to see the front entrance of the building in its full grandeur, those enormous steps leading to the main entrance but it didn't happen, wonk-wonk. Anyway...
...The kids loved the dinosaur exhibit and surprised to hear them talking about the history of LA and how much interest they have on it, the birds exhibition was really awesome too and of course they loved the gift shop lol
I LOVE the character and architecture of this museum, I also like their seasonal featured exhibits, the old artifacts, the potteries and statues but always somehow at the back of my head, it reminds me of an Indiana Jones movie where some of these old relics can either curse you or bring some bad jujus ha ha so I breeze by those exhibits when I can.
I am thankful we have a Natural History Museum in our City/County, this always is a great place for additional Education and bring awareness especially to young minds not just some history of our existence but also interesting bit regarding our community.Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherry RCovington, KY14 contributionsWe visited the museum with a baby in a stroller so couldn’t see the collection building. The museum’s inventory is so impressive, can only imagine the “collection”. My husband and son were mesmerized. I’m not a real car person, but really enjoyed the beauty of the car designs.Written 26 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This museum had A LOT more graphic crime scene photographs. If you do not want to see that, do not come here. I knew what I was getting into, and still a bunch of it was a tad disturbing. You truly cannot unsee this stuff once you do, and it will stick with you. Still my morbid curiosity made me interested. I enjoyed the mortuary history exhibit and post mortem photography the most of the museum.Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
