Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is a mesmerizing wonder that surpasses all expectations. Despite the challenges of reaching it, the surreal landscape and endless salt flats make every obstacle worth it. Standing amidst this natural marvel is an unforgettable experience that will leave you in awe of the beauty of our world.

In the middle of the truly amazing, bucket list, salar (salt flat) it's an interesting sight in itself, but your ticket allows you to hike about 1km on a defined, one-way trail up and around the island (and visit the washroom -- we had to show our ticket to get in!) The added height gives great views across the salar (where the brightness reflected off the salt confused my camera's light metering) with the huge cacti in the foreground. A surprising number of birds also seem to call the island home.

Everyone on a tour also seems to have lunch here, hopefully at one of the shaded tables, or perhaps bringing their own table, chairs and shade.

Its a large area lake besides the eco hotel Los Flamencos. Its little bit stinky but the view is overwhelming. The flamingos are so social that even you go near them they don’t go away. Any one can take selfie with them also. Here i took some awesome pictures of them. I like this lake to my heart.

Excellent few days in Bolivia on the amazing salt flats. This company provided excellent guides and our experience was way beyond expectations. Every stop was jaw dropping and the attention to detail (from unexpected snacks and drinks to the providing on rubber boots for the beautiful water filled parts of the journey) was exceptional.

This mountain dominates the scenery as you cross the salt flats-uniformly flat as far as the eye can see with no vegetation or animals. Our tour took us close enough to it to appreciate the change in scenery, landscape and vegetation with crops and animals. A circle of volcanoes surrounds the salt desert and I believe we got to the middle[, Incahuasi island with small community and shop and rest rooms. We had a splendid first class picnic lunch on the salt, thankfully protected from the sun by a shade. Unforgettable.

Uyuni Salt Tour is a must. There are so many stunning nature spectacles in that area and Andes Salt Expeditions are a great company to do this.
I really enjoyed the guide, who was sympathetic, informative and a real pro when it comes to fotos and videos that we did. He even did a quiz with us on the last night. Thanks Eduardo for your support!

We had a great experience from the pickup in the Bolivian border until the end of the tour in Uyuni. Everything was sorted in order to make our crew feel safe and welcomed. Our driver and tour guide, Daniel Flores, did an incredible job explaining the geography and the social and historical aspects of the region, while conducting the 4WD vehicle in a really safe manner. I rightly recommend this service.

Fantastic one day salt flat tour with Miguel.

He was a very safe driver, informative and an incredible photographer.

As long as your don't want high luxury (which I'm not sure you can get on a group tour) I can't reccomend this tour enough. Was exactly as described and one of the best things I've ever done.

We decided to do a private 3day/2night tour to get more space in the car and have more flexibility and it was well worth it! Our dietary requests were accommodated for and the food was well over expectations. Accomodation throughout the tour was simple but had hot showers which was our main objective. Our guide and driver, Rimber was absolutely amazing and honestly made the experience so much better. Whilst we had a bit of language barrier he went out of his way to explain things to us and ensure we had a good time as well as drove gently and safe (much appreciated for someone very car sick on the bumpy roads!) and is overall just a top guy. Highly recommend!

They organized us a lst minute sunrise tour at Uyuni salt flat. They were extremely quick to reply on Whatsapp even though I texted them with our last minute request after 9 pm... Our guide/driver Alejandro was a great photographer as well. He made sure to accomodate all of our photo requests. He knew the best spots and ways of taking photos and videos. Absolutely worth every penny!

We have just come back from our trip to South America and this tour was by far the highlight of the holiday! It was so well organised and everyone was so accommodating and helpful the entire trip. The daily itinerary was clearly explained to us so we knew exactly what we would be doing and when. Our tour guides Jose and Wilder allowed us to take as much time as we needed to explore all the sites, and also took loads of photos for us, answered all of our questions and also explained lots of the history and facts about the different places we visited. They couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful, especially when most of our group got food poisoning and had to extend the trip by a day as they were unable to travel. The hostel owners were also incredibly kind - we have a few different dietary requirements (nuts and gluten) and they always made sure to accommodate for everyone. The sites you see on this trip are just incredible and having a friendly team show you around makes the experience even more amazing. I would 100% recommended this tour group, so much so that I’m planning on going back in the future to repeat it!

The Salt Flats were beyond spectacular and so are the other sites when we drove to the Sololi Desert. We did a customized 5 day package. First of all, the experience was even made more memorable because of the people at Joker Expedition. Jeannette our Tour Guide, our Driver Abel, Jose-the guy behind all these, are amazing and very accommodating. We really felt good about traveling with Jeanette and Abel. The SALT FLATS--it transforms itself to this blinding white to spectacular sunsets. The Lagunas and the flamingos, the rock trees, the mountain range...What is to forget? We stayed at the Palacio de Sal--and I was so tempted to lick the walls :) and Tayka Hotel in Sololi. All over, the Bolivians are wonderful people, we had such a great time, up there with our safaris in Africa. Amazing job, guys! BTW, we did visit LaPaz as well but on our own and that was also an amazing experience- we went to the Tiwanaku for a day trip. LaPaz is a happening town!
