Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

a wide expanse of pristine beach. very dog friendly. loads of space for the kids to run around and wear themselves out. Loads of cafes and restaurants within a short walk. definitely worth a visit.

We walked the Trail hoping to get a chance for a really good view of the Estuary and we weren't disappointed. Very warm weather and dry so good underfoot but also a little strenuous. We would recommend the walk as it's fairly simple navigation and well worth it.

Walked the southern section, from Talybont to Barmouth and have to say, you'd be hard pushed to find fault with the views on offer. With far reaching views, from Snowdon to the north, Cader Idris in the south, the views are simply stunning, breathtaking even! Mountains, valleys, coastlines, beaches, estuaries, forests, lakes, babbling brooks, rivers, streams and to top it all off, Red Kites circling up above. Wow! A word of warning tho, it can be a bit boggy in places and it's not the best marked out path, but nothing that even the most inexperienced of walkers couldn't overcome. Go walk it, you won't be disappointed!

This is a must see if you visit Barmouth, especially on a clear day.
The Frenchman’s grave is also worth a look.

We explored the heritage trail, but the path up the hillside is quite hard to follow, with no waymarking, and steep. But worth it!

Kirsty and Russ are experts at pitching the encouragement at just the right level, whether you have previous experience or are an apprehensive novice like me. They give plenty of support to get you started and develop more skill, but also it's about everyone in the group having a good time. Thank you SUP Barmouth for a fun, rewarding and memorable time on the water in a beautiful location.

We booked on for me & my 12 year old son who was very much looking forward to his first experience.
We paid £25 p/p for a 2 hour trip. It was only mackerel fishing but we had a great time. Good company on the boat. The skip made sure everyone was ok & helped everyone out which was great because we were complete novices. Seeing my son catching fish after fish was a lovely sight. You can keep some if you want, & there spectacular views too.
