Love this family site lots to do and close to the beach and walks. On bus route, has bar and restaurant reasonably priced.

I love Padstow. We visit every time we’re in Cornwall.
However, it seems to be turning into a Rick Stein themed fishing village.
Everywhere you turn he’s trying to squeeze another pound out of the tourists. With little regard for “local” businesses.

Carpark close. Dog friendly. Lots of little coves for shelter and rock pools when tide is out. Also has a tidal swimming pool.
YHA right close to it serving basic but decent food and drinks. Little shop on carpark and somewhere for breakfast next to it. Perfect really

We visited the Duke Street Tasting Room which we really enjoyed. Later in the afternoon we had time to kill before our bus, so we visited the Broad Street Tasting Room. Loved it! Mark, the barman, was very knowledgeable and he recommended the Lobster Kveik pale ale. I had a pint, my partner had a half. I had another half, my partner had another half. We enjoyed chatting to Mark so much we missed the bus and had more drinks! Perfect afternoon, lovely intimate bar, comfortable seating, great choice of local ales and highly recommended.

My friend and I stopped into Padstow Tasting Room on our way to dinner while staying at The Old Custom House. We are from America and are hiking the South West Coastal Path. The tasting room had a NEIPA in cans, and the bartender suggested we go to Padstow Brewing Co. around the corner because they have 10 beers on tap. I found Sundowner, a NEIPA. It was amazing. Sundowner was hazy and juicy. It was as good as any Vermont hazy I’ve had, and I consider myself a beer snob. In addition to the variety of beers they had on tap, both establishments were cool spaces to hang and enjoy fresh from the tap, well-brewed beers. I enjoyed several during our visit that evening, and I’m sad we had to leave Padstow. If you are in the area, Padstow Brewing Co. is a must do! The folks who work there are super friendly and proud of their beer as they should be!

Beautiful beach right in the middle of Booby's beach (also great) and Treyarnon. Walking between all 3 is very easy.
Constantine is lovely and sandy with more rock pools and dog friendly.

Padstow is always a brilliant place to visit.
Parking is not cheap especially close to the town. Advisable to use the park and ride.If the ride is not available it's only a short walk to the town.
The harbour area is always bustling with plenty of shops and eateries to tempt you.
There is a good choice of fish and chip shops near the harbour as well as the 'Cornish' pasty outlets.
The walk out of Padstow gives you excellent views of the estuary and Rock on the other side.
If you walk passed the war memorial along the path you will eventually be rewarded with a short descent to the sandy beach, but watch out for the tide.
Certainly well worth a visit !

We were staying in Padstow and decided to visit the hatchery. This isn't particularly big, but is full of lots of information and interactive exhibits. One of the team gave a talk that was very interesting and the live lobsters from new born to adults were good to see up close. Worth a visit.

We stayed one night using their veg & bed offer. We had an upgrade, the room was comfortable and clean. The bar had a roaring fire. The deal we had included 3 course dinner, it was delicious, The venison sausages and steamed pudding the highlights. There was a wonderful selection at breakfast. The place were it is, is on a beautiful headland, unfortunately the weather prevented us from exploring it, maybe next time.

This beautiful house was shown to us by a family member who was passionate about the house and its history. I often get bored after a while, visiting old buildings, but not here . Our guide was animated and fun and brought the information she imparted to life. It is a lived in house and instead of lots of roped off areas that make you feel that you really shouldn't be there, I felt welcome and comfortable.
Thank you for such an interesting visit.
